I am looking for a new jacket that I can wear from about 50 degrees to 90 degrees. I do not want mesh. I would like it to be wind proof and water proof or resistant with armor. Ideally it will stow away very compact. Any suggestions? I wear a 2xl.

I wear a First Gear Kilimanjaro. It has vents for the warmer weather and it waterproof and armored. They are very durable and last for years but they are not inexpensive and they do not stow away very compactly. I don't think you will find an armored goretex jacket that is not bulky to store. I prefer the hi viz yellow color but it fades to white after several years of wear.

Armor and stow compact do not go well together. Leather with the armor and liner removed here. Wind proof and water resistant, stows easy and good for any temp with the layers including heated. As my belly gets bigger I sometimes wish for one of those longer than waist length jackets. Hard to find in a 5X and affordable.

TourMaster Transition series jackets are hard to beat. I think they are at #5 now I have a #3 these jackets are 3 /4 length and have a lot of vents in them and also have a TourMaster Intake 3 it is mesh but has a rain and a quilted liner. It is a true 4 season jacket

I have several riding jackets, but if I were going on a long trip and could only take one, this would be it. I did have to go up 1 size from a 2x to a 3x as I'm a bit thick in the middle.

I bought a Klim Blade 3/4 jacket last year on sale for under $200. Its Gortex/water resistant and has good armor all around. It fits the bill for that scenario "I have several riding jackets, but if I were going on a long trip and could only take one, this would be it"

Too funny...I thought I was the only one out there with a BMG...and yes, that's the one that goes with me on long trips!

I have a couple different ones that I like, this Cortech is my all purpose jacket that has every option with armor, currently on closeout. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cortech-gx-sport-air-40-jacket?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIru_1wJ2x4AIVgUCGCh3gtQNwE AQYBiABEgIGavD_BwE

But I also stumbled across a sweet Vanson perforated leather cafe style jacket on eBay for $200 that is perfect for those temps.

Just ordered the Fly Racing Strata jacket. Kind of like 3 jackets in one.
