Just came across this on the net, pretty cool process.
I don't know how it is cured or removed but it gets into every little crevice.
Great for motorcycle tupperware :icon_wink:

Hydro dipping, ( hydrographic dipping )

Getting more and more popular and while prices are still relatively high they are coming down some.
Can be used on anything that can be dipped in water, then usually clear coated to protect the graphic chosen.

Used a lot with camo patterns and carbon fiber patterns, but there are loads of designs and options.

I am getting my front cowl dipped this winter as one of my winter mods. With the so-so paint and all the bugs and crap always hitting the cowl area I figured why not :icon_biggrin:

These guys are in the Tamla Bay Area. They have done several auto parts for me and it has always been top notch.

Mortons Custom Cycle in Concord NC has been doing this for a while now. They have a full custom paint shop and combine this process with standard custom layouts like flames and scallops. Skulls, wood grain, diamond plate, carbon fibre, water spots, etc. Last time I talked to them they had over 50 designs. After it is cleared it is pretty much just like a normal custom paint job.
