Heya - bit of a lurker, but still very much a F6B newbie.

My last bike was a VTX1800 in 2002 - as soon as they hit the showroom floor...... Had to get rid of it around 2008. Fast forward 12 years, I'm stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado and finally have the opportunity to get back into a street bike.

Tonight, Sunday, is the first night my new (to me) 2015 Silver (Gray?) deluxe (12000 miles) is down in the garage.

My road still is slick with ice - so I doubt I'll get much street time until March, but I do have about an hour on it (while it was sitting at a friends house).

My order of mods are (per "BigCat's" videos - I think he had a great setup)
1) PC-8 fuseblock
2) Rear LED full rear running lights with switchback turn signals + TIR 3 \ Wigwag setup.
3) Front LED fogs + Front LED switchback turn signals
4) Mad windshield
5) RDL seat

I'll probably try to order the parts for 1,2,3 all at once this week. Finding a decent set sockets for the rear switchback bulbs may be problematic, but we'll give it a shot.

Anyhoo - probably will be posting quite a few questions....

Thanks -
SapperWing (Not for GoldWings.... Sapper = Combat Engineer + Detroit RedWings = SapperWing)

Congrats on the new bike. I like your list that covers lights front and rear. Same thing I did a while back. I have 5 different windshields (including OEM) that I rotate depending on time of year. I ride all year round if the roads are clear and dry. I am going to put the Mad windshield on my list of things to try.

Welcome from Central Texas. Enjoy the new ride.

I traded my 2002 (not new to me) 1800 VTX "R" for a NEW 2016 F6B in July and Iv'e never looked back. It came from the dealership with an aftermarket Baggershield already and I'm very happy with it. I did upgrade to the adjustable model (http://www.baggershield.com/baggershield-honda-f6b-11-to-19-adjustable-p-83.html).

Were you a Member of VTX Riders? Have a 03 VTX R and not doing anything to it much so seldom go to the VTX forum but it was great years ago. The F6B is my bike of choice most times. No windshield is only for short rides.

Yes Sir....

I was rear-ended last year by one of the zombie horde in stop-and-go traffic. Was watching him in the rear-view for a light or two. Knew it was coming - left a gap, tried honking, etc.... Still couldn't avoid it.

Needed a bike

I wasn't - at least not that I remember. That was a few lifetime's ago.... I feel like I lurked on the VTXOA?

As a fellow ex-VTXer (I had a 1800 C outfitted for touring...), welcome and you're going to really enjoy the scoot. While I miss my X... once I'm on the F6B Deluxe, all is good with the world!

Welcome to the forum, I hope you come to love your B as much as a lot of us do. This is a great forum with lots of good information. JMDANIEL is working on putting a western rally together for next summer that will probably be in Colorado so maybe we can meet up.

I thought the zombies in Commiefornia were the worst drivers until I moved to Commiefornia Light. They should teach people here how to make a left turn.
