Hi guys, I just wanted to share some pics of my bike after adding Snake Skin pads on the tank. I think it looks great. What do you think?

I have those on the side of the tank on my FJR, and love them.

will they last? I have noticed the sides of my tank are showing some scuffing if you get the light right

I've had them on my FJR for over a decade. They are shrinking very slightly, so you can see the edge of the adhesive section, but like I said, they've been on for over 10 years. This pic was taken last June.

Have had them on my 13 F6B for 5+ years and they still look new.

Thanks! I've had it since new back in '06, and it's a nice tradeoff to the B!

Thanks for the Idea, and locating the Snake Skins! I ordered, and have received them already. My Matt gray paint was worn to a "high polished " appearance, where my knees had rubbed on the plastic fake tank. This should cover that shine up, perfectly!

I’m digging the VTX in the back. Accutronix forward controls? I had them on my 1300C. Very nice.

Dude...those look great and functional, too!
Hey...if you dont mind a suggestion...check out a mini garage door opener. lots of places on the dashboard to place it w/ double sided foam tape. I put mine on the recess just to the left of the tach.

I did the same using stick-on velcro on the underside of my left cubby door.

I think the valve covers are the Aeropeg's from Rivco (https://www.rivcoproducts.com/shop/honda-goldwing/highway-pegs-honda-goldwing/gl18003bk-for-honda-gl1800-gold-wing-honda-f6b-and-honda-gl1800c-valkyrie/).

I want this but $80 seems so high for what it is. At $40 i would buy. I am probably just a cheap bastard.

Agreed.
Oh, I mean the $40.00 part.

What all is involved to apply those?

Peel off backing.
Stick on.

Applying them in warmer weather is a plus too. If they're too cold, they don't wrap as easily.

Instructions are in the package. Clean the surfaces with an alcohol wipe. Place the Snakeskin where you want it, mark the spot lightly with a pencil, or some type marker that will be easy to remove. I used blue painters tape, to outline where I wanted it. Then you can check all around, both sides, for uniformity. Peel off the back, and stick in place. And yes, as Draxsr says, the warmer the better!
