Day three of a seven day trip this after market pedal broke at the pinch point on the shaft. So 4 days of riding in the mountains with no rear brake. It may have been caused by the scraping on the under side applying pressure to the mount point. Back to OEM.

Looks like you need a appointment with a Traxxion dealer.

Hi 2wheelsforme. I agree with your assessment that the torque of grinding the pedal likely caused the pedal to fail. Was that a one-time incident (i.e. the bike went down and slid), or is it common for you to touch down the brake pedal assembly in turns?

It is common, I have the titanium pucks on the foot pegs and they grind first but if you keep leaning or hit a bump more things drag. The aftermarket pedal was just a bit lower than the OEM.

Thanks for clarifying that the pedal was lower than stock. That's why I was asking. I've had mine on its side several times for tire changes and mine never touched. :)

While I don't mind having hinged parts touch down (pegs), when hard points touch down it is certainly less desirable. :)
