I left Mississippi on the first of July, rode through TX (watch those gusts across the plains), eventually stopped in Albuquerque w/ friends for a few days, rode around NM, over through AZ (who knew deserts were hot?), up into UT, into CO, and back home. I hit 10 states, spent just shy of 3 weeks on the road and saw some gorgeous scenery.

I used Rever w/ the Butler overlays to find routes, then pushed the .gpx files over to my Garmin. All in all, it worked pretty well.

Moab, UT was super cool. The vastness of the Mojave Desert (people crossed that on horse and wagons!), Henry Mountain, and the change in climates across the ride were amazing.

The roads were pretty good, nice twists, but more gentle than say, on the Tail of the Dragon. The tar, at 100 degrees was interesting the first time I felt it give way under me.

Great trip, Gorgeous views. I had a fantastic time!75697570757175727573

I did just shy of 4900 miles over the three-ish weeks. Hotels were open, restaurants were open, but bigger rallies might have issues w/ seating right now. But just a couple people will have no real issues. Bring a mask, rules change as one travels.

I have to figure how to do a riding in AK next. I hear the logistics are daunting. 758275837584
