Just returned from a pseudo x country 3wk bike adventure. Along my travels I generally have 1 or 2 "lady friends" join me for 3 day clips of the adventure. They'd fly into 1 airport, memorable ride for 3 days, then drop them off at another airport. Have been looking for a better / easier on-off luggage set-up for my long distance adventures. (3 to 5 wk road trips). Rivco's quick detach cargo rack was it. The system itself has the shape of a "J". (I'm not paid by Rivco). For the cargo bag for the cargo rack, I went with an xkursion XS Guardian. (I'm not paid by Kuryakyn).

This trip took me passed 70K miles. Debating whether or not to upgrade to the newer wings when I hit 100K BUT, the B is just such a fine running machine, I may just keep it.

I'll switch the xkursion full tour bag from vertical on the passenger seat to horizontally on the luggage rack, and place hers atop of it. Also, placed their bag atop of the other bag on the cargo rack. Rivco said their mounting set-up was good to 35 lbs (probably for liability purposes) but w/ 2 bags it may have been slightly over. The handling seemed better with 2 bags on the cargo rack set-up vs. 2 bags stacked on the luggage rack. Along the adventures over the years, it always seemed 2 bags stacked on the luggage rack the bike felt a little top heavy.
