Good call on the F6B/lightning. Take a look at this. Just playing around with the badge text ... suggestions welcome? Not crazy about 'FLAT SIX BAGGER', but did it as a placeholder. Suggestions welcome, having fun with this.

I would buy that in a heartbeat. Especially on the back of a sweatshirt or tee shirt. Not a front logo kind of guy.

If you are playing around with design, I would remove the Goldwing logo, and then it would be perfect for me. I like it with the Flat Six Bagger on the top, and the Ride the Lightning on the bottom.

My choice would be the f6b logo on the left chest.

There are several ways to produce this shirt, the traditional Screen Printing Method (Best in my opinion) Can last 4-8 years, you will incur art separation and screen charges that need to be added to your cost.

#2 Have the design printed on the shirt by ink jet printers, can last 2-3 years (lower cost and quick)

#3 Have an iron on design made, can last 1-2 years (not what I would do)

I'm happy that the art work is a tribute not a "In Memory of"

I would prefer just the F6B logo over left chest as well.

Ok folks, this was slightly more of a pain in the ass than I thought it would be; the design work was relatively easy. I finally found and did up the design on a site called Zazzle. I didn't even know they existed. If you visit the link, you can see what it would look like on a tee! Also, check out the 'See All Styles' button under the tee shirt options on the right, you can browse thru they have sweatshirts, hoodies, holy cow just about anything and you can see what it would look like.

HERE'S THE DEAL. I haven't used this site and I haven't ordered from them so I have no idea how this will come out. They do have a 100% satisfaction guarantee though if you click on that. I'm nervous about you guys ordering and then it comes in crappy for some reason -- anyone want to be the guinea pig?

Thanks for all the help and ideas on this, this was a fun way to waste time at work during a dead week! I am going to order one and will let you know how it turns out. If y'all have any other cool shirt/sweater/hoodie logo ideas involving our kickass bikes let me know!

And thanks to Miles for his amazing story that inspired this!

Here's the link: http://www.zazzle.com/honda_f6b_goldwing_tee_v1-235206794213258718

FYI, they say this will be a searchable item within 24 hours. Right now if you go on there and search for 'f6b' or 'goldwing' you'll see some other stuff that folks have put up. They don't look this cool tho :icon_razz:

Russ, okay, I went to the zazzle site, looked at the t-shirt and design that you worked up, and I love the entire design for the back of the shirt, but I also agree with several of the other folks in that the F6B logo should just be on the Left side of the front chest area.

BTW, your design and the black t-shirt are UP, and searchable on that same page on zazzle. Just scroll down, and there it is.

That looks great. If you really need a guinea pig...I offer myself up. :icon_rolleyes:

The original that I posted had the logo centered in front. I just deleted that one. If you click the link now (http://www.zazzle.com/honda_f6b_goldwing_tee_v1-235206794213258718) it should show the shirt with the logo on the left breast -- is that what you guys were talking about?

Although you can manually switch the shirts, I went ahead and built a sweatshirt to see what it'd look like.

Russ, yes.....and all forum members should be aware that "if" you go onto zazzle and order these t-shirts....in the ordering process you can add things like...your own name on the front left chest, just above the wings of the F6B logo.

In other words, if you want to personalize your t-shirt, with your real name or forum name, you can have that done at the time of ordering. There is just a couple clicks that need to be done, to accomplish this. And if an old man like myself can do this, I have no doubt that 93.14159 % of the rest of you can do this too.

Good point, Miles. You can also 'Edit' the front of the shirt and move that emblem or even remove it if you don't like it (which lowers the cost of the shirt or sweatshirt). Pretty wild. I ordered the sweatshirt, looks like it'll take a week or two "because it's a dark item" and I don't wanna pay a fortune in upgraded shipping.

Folks, hold off on ordering for now. I got an email overnight from them saying they would pull the shirts off because they violate "intellectual rights", without further details. I requested details and re-posted another design minus the Goldwing eagle symbol on the front, which is the only thing I can think of that would be trademarked? We'll see.

If they won't print them I'm going to look locally. Not sure what's up -- I see other products on their site with motorcycle pictures and logos etc?

I retract this statement in partial. While I would love to have this Logo on a Shirt. I have never in my 56 years of existence ever paid $45.45 for a tee shirt.

I've had silkscreened Tee shirts made this year that I sold for $20.00 which provided My Club with money to re-order shirts and provided a good profit. ........................Dickie (45 bucks is crazy)

You guys are talking about the sweatshirt, $45.45. The Tee is $35.95. The designs have front and back printing, if you want a cheaper shirt or sweatshirt you can remove the logo off the breast. Jury's out on whether the materials are top quality -- I have one ordered. Also, when you order they gave me 10 or 20% off, so shipping was essentially a wash, and no tax.

Would love to have a local silkscreen that could produce this shirt (multi color, with front and back print) for a price that allows for $20 and a handsome profit? I know that's not possible here in Austin; we've worked with our kids' teams to get parent/fan shirts made in the past and they're not cheap for decent materials and prints (including >1 color). Perhaps you can show this design to your Florida silkscreener and see what they can do? Would be interested in knowing.

Yeppers, 'ride the lightning' has been used in several different instances when 'the 'Lectric chair' is part of the plot,,, A ~humorous/lighthearted~ referral to death by electrocution,,, I believe I'll pass on that one!! :icon_biggrin:

It seems like a lot of the upcharge on the black shirt & sweatshirt is:

a) black costs more
b) The shirt I pick was a premium tee. If you notice on the site, you can pick from 61 Styles, and there are cheaper options.

I reworked the logo for a white or light-colored version.

Try this:
http://www.zazzle.com/f6b_ride_the_lightning_white_tee-235764539849046613

The cost is $25.95 on that one. Looks pretty cool if you change the shirt color to grey as well.
Just messing around.

I talked to a local screen printer, Dickie is right, she can do it cheaper. She looked at the design and said it will come out "awesome".

Said she can do it on black tee shirts for $16.84/shirt, plus tax and shipping. For XL, add $1, 2XL add $2, 3XL add $3 and so on. For sweatshirt add $5.

For this to happen we need a minimum of ten orders. Let me know if interested, if we get ten I'll get it done.

Hey guys, the shirts should be completed on Thurs and shipping out after that, according to the printer. Looking forward to seeing them; I'll update when I hear.

I'm still waiting on addresses and payments from a couple of you, and one guy I never heard from at all despite several PM's. I don't plan on doing this again, too much hassle tracking down the payments/shipping addresses/etc. If anyone wants in for an XL shirt, let me know, otherwise hopefully that's the only unpaid one I have to pay for.

Guys,
I just came from the shirt printer, they REALLY came out nice!!! We verified the shipments and they will be dropped into the mail tomorrow (by her). She did a fantastic job halftoning the blue around the lightning and the F6B text; I attached photos that I took (of my shirt) for you to see, you probably can't see the detail but I think you'll like them when they arrive.

There was only one logistical issue -- she accidentally ordered two (2) few 2XL's, which (after her team packed them) affects half of the order for Kawi69 and kjelders. I'm PM'ing you with your options (the other shirts you ordered are being shipped, and you can either wait for her to order your black 2XL's or check out the other options she's offering in my PM).

I have (1) L and (1) XL "extra", if anyone is interested let me know via PM. Also, I have to say that BACA, she got you a zip-up hoodie that came out simply badass -- and also cost more :)

Looking forward to receiving it..........and Thanks for all the work - it is much appreciated!!

That's a great idea. I'd put it on the back of my leather vest...

Folks, that was a lot more work than I expected, and the shipping costs plus the time/effort was more than estimated. To boot, I almost lost $$.

I had no intention of doing this again, but I'm willing to do it if:

a) There are at least 12 orders (per the printer)
b) Starting price is $30 per shirt, out the door, for L, $31 for XL, $32 for 2XL, $33 for 3XL
c) All payments via PayPal this time. You send me email address, I'll send you payment request once we get 12 minimum orders.
d) Hoodie? Add $10. Long sleeve? Add $5.

Any proceeds will go to my teenager, who will do all of the logistics :)
