Does anyone have an idea of where I would find these inserts circled, apparently, Kuryakyn doesn't.

wow, those things fall out so easily I'm surprised Kuryakyn doesn't have them in bags 2ea for sale! found one of mine in packaging 'debris'. . . when adding other parts and had to take mine off.

They allow you to adjuste the angle of the mounting bracket. If the screws are still in the bracket you can probably make your own shim to fit in the slot to hold the angle you want.

I've examined those "shims" and FWIW, I believe that one could find some hard rubber and have it cut and finished (edges) to fit in the slot. I realized how loose they were when not under pressure, so I did a 1 or 2 wrap of Gorilla Tape around the OEM shim to make them fit snug in the slots. So far so good... they are still there.
