Here I sit all broken hearted,
the warmth and sun have now departed.

The sky is grey, the temps are cold.
My ride for tomorrow is now on hold.

No riding in winter is truly a bummer,
Nothing to do but plan for the summer.

I've polished and cleaned till there's nothing to do,
guess I'll search and I'll shop for an accessory or two.

I've got a new windshield coming on Monday,
my first ride with it on will sure be a fun day.

The forecast for Monday is for cool and clear.
I'll ride if I can with my Gerbings heated gear.

I'd finish my Christmas shopping but feeling lazy,
If it weren't for this forum, I think I'd go crazy.

Merry Christmas to all!

Hang in there, better riding days ahead.

hiflyer,

On a positive note, the Madstad Shield makes cold weather riding a lot easier. Much calmer air means a lot less Windchill.

Great work, enjoyed the chuckle! Hope you get a break from the cold over the holidays. That shield will make a big difference in what you're willing to ride in!

I love it, looks like many of us "snow bunnies" have a lot of time on our hands....Lets hope we have an early spring...I know the riders in warmer climates are probably laughing their butts off and enjoying their F6B's....OH WELL...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Took a nice 152 mile round trip ride for lunch today to the Three Banana Restaurant located on the shore at Crescent City, Fl. The ride covered Hwy. 318, 315, 310, 19, 17, 40, 326, 35 and Rt 200. With 81/82 degree temps it's no wonder I leave the cold and snow of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains for six months:icon_biggrin:

I feel for yous guys in the cold north. I get bummed when it's rainy and cloudy, which never last long down here. I'd go batty, parking my bike for 4/5 months @ at time. :th_sunbathe:

If you live in the "brown" (no snow cover) areas of the map, you don't have a motorcycle-related thing in the world to complain about!

So jealous. Maybe I'll go turn the heat up in the garage and wax the F6B for the one hundredth time this winter while I imagine Tail of the Dragon or some such. 30 degrees and freezing rain this dark and dreary evening. I know, I should pack up and move south...

I haven't seen a while Christmas since I was 7 years old. It isn't all bad living where there are four seasons!
