I'm in need of a new rear tire, I'd rather not spend too much (still paying off my wedding and honeymoon). I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these on their F6B? I used a Shinko on my Honda NM4 once, it handled really well, was great for the twisties, and long rides...although it didn't last as long as other tires. The reviews I've been reading don't look bad for this tire, so just wondering if anyone in here has tried it? Thanks.

I just put a set of shinko's on my burgman 650.
They seem to run true but very noisy at highway speeds.

Ran a set on my 99 Valkyrie Interstate, no problem……

Perfect time to darkside

You get what you pay for, buyers be aware. Cheap is just that CHEAP.

Ditto on the dark side, there is nothing safer than a run-flat with enough tread and water-dispersing ability, and $120 for 20.000 miles if you are that cost-conscious.

I've been thinking about going darkside, just unsure where to go to have it installed.

I took the tire off brought to a tire shop and said its for a sidecar. Paid in cash and they told me to come back in an hour.

Smart move! You can also tell them you own a Can-Am Spider which has CT's on all three corners:cheers:

or say you have a Polaris Slingshot, all wheels use a CT... no problem getting mounted.

Another option, forgot all about that. I don't see too many around here which is why it didn't dawn on me. Believe it or not quite a few people have a Ural motorcycle with the sidecar, it's BMW ripoff

Haha I would love one. My riding partner has one he wears any time he is on his stock 1950 Panhead HD.

So, got the tires installed Saturday, did about 50 miles Saturday, and around 150 miles yesterday on them, so far they are pretty good, They handled well in the corners/twisties on the way up to Camp Crystal Lake in Azuza Canyon (very technical ride, you always see a bunch of sport bikes going up and down the mountain). I'll see how well it lasts and comfort on some longer rides coming up.

Shinkos are JUNK! The front they sent me is "OUT OF ROUND".
I had a dealer order it for me. They mounted it. I'll let them deal with it.
