This board is so quiet that I might as well post something. Is anyone planning on attending the VRCC rally next month? It's in Dubuque, Iowa which has some great riding opportunities along the Mississippi River. I still show up every few years and usually find several other F6Bs there. And of course there will be over 100 Valkyries. I still own 2 Valkyries (one with 180,000 miles!) and they get more attention than ever.

Just so you're not in your own echo chamber, Dave, I myself am not planning on attending the VRCC rally in Iowa. ;-) Hope you've been well!

Leaving on a Thursday afternoon arrive Sunday with my friend. Taking our time trying to stay off the slab.https://i.postimg.cc/s2X6g9LX/temp-Image-Gr-GT1q.avif (https://postimg.cc/zysSdW8Z)

Jack, if you can let me know the date, I could ride along with, if your okay with an F-6 coming to the event. I just moved from Menomonie to Fort Atkinson. I could meet you somewhere along the way.

If I go I'll ride my F6B so you won't be alone. The cruise control is so nice on a ride that long.

We will be leaving Manitowoc around 1:00 on Sunday. It’s a 3.5 hour ride. We will take 151 the whole way.

I know some of us own or owned Valkyries, so here are a few photos I took at the 'Inzane' rally in Dubuque last week. About 250 people attended, including two guys from Israel and one from Germany. Weather was perfect and the riding was great. Events included a presentation and lunch at the Field of Dreams movie site and a block party downtown. Since this board has a 4 image limit I'll make two posts.

The block party on Tuesday night - lots of interesting old buildings in downtown Dubuque:

The River Walk was just a few blocks from the hotel:

The remaining photos...

I rode to a boat ramp near Potosi, WI to get a better view of the Mississippi.
Water was beginning to flood part of the access road, and a local guy said the ramp was about to be closed due to the unusually high water:

Catfish Charlies is a great restaurant and brewpub on the marina at the north end of Dubuque.
The owner and his wife grew up in the area and ride. Beer and food were excellent:

The Shot Tower was built in 1856 to manufacture lead shot using the 'drop process'.
It was at the north end of the River Walk:
