I have been thinking about trading in my 2016 F6B for a 2024 Goldwing bagger. I'm looking for opinions in terms of how much better the 2024 model is from a performance, handling, and comfort perspective.

Thanks in advance for responding to this post...

I hear the DCTs are really nice, fast, and smooth. I don't ride enough, but 5 years from now, I'll be interested in a clean used one.

The new Wing is a great bike but when you trade your 2016 in you will have to pay about $20,000 to boot.
Both are great bikes I would like to have one too but it’s not worth it to me.

In the performance category, limited to 111 mph. If you are willing to possibly void your warranty that can be fixed. Suspension, way better than the stock F6B. Again Traction Dynamics can fix your F6B you just have to open your wallet really wide. Hondas GPS is less than optimal but a free standing Garmin XP will fix that. Center stand can be had from most trike shops for under$75. Handling, with the better suspension of the 2024 its a improvement.

I figure at some point I'll have a newer Wing bagger, don't need the back seat. I love my 14 F6BD but after looking at the Bagger Wing for a friend I like what I see. I'm just not sure of the year I would want. I've seen some 2019's going for $18k with less than 30k miles. I'm in no rush but going to continue my research on the bagger models only but not going to by new. Good luck with your decision indadman:cheers:

I ride every weekend with a couple of friends that have a 2024 Wing Tour and a 2024 Wing non-tour respectively. They came from a Harley Electra Glide and Indian Chieftain and I may have had a little influence in their decision to convert. :) They are both DCT and are both wicked quick and handle the curves extremely well. While the electronics are upgraded, I feel they still fall short of the mark with the GPS being subpar as previously mentioned. As for comfort, that issue remains completely variable and left to the perception of the individual. The rider with the tour model is already replacing his seat and replacing the windshield with the shorter non-tour shield.

As for me, I like the DCT and considered trading up but am unwilling to "start over" with a newer model and all of the changes/ad-ons I have already purchased for my 2013. The DCT is my only interest at this point so I will forgo the new purchase for now and spring for a Traxxion upgrade in the future. Just my two cents.

I did pretty much the same thing(2015 F6B to a 2022 6 speed Tour) and I love my new to me bike but like what already has been said, open your wallet because my B was set up perfect for me. You may or may not need to tweak the newer bike but I needed too

Allways exciting to get a new ride, but as mentioned, all the set up to "personalize" a new bike takes $$, and trials and error on new parts. I guess I am gonna hang on to the F6 as long as possible. 98K on it and running great.

I have a 2013 F6B with 62K miles that I bought new in 2014. I love this bike and still have it. In February 2023 I purchased my 2023 Tour DCT (~12K miles) and my Wife loves this bike. Both are great bikes but the technology on the DCT is better (e.g. auto windshield, GPS, rider settings, ABS, TPMS, heated seats and grips, etc.). You can't go wrong with either.

How is the automatic? That is my #1 concern, I truly love shifting gears, I feel I am one with the whole riding experience. In your opinion, does the newer wing accomodate a bigger rider (6'2", 300#) better or worse than the older f6b? I certainly like the technology of them.

Even in automatic mode I'm constantly shifting gears with the paddles with worrying about pulling in a clutch level.
I don't have to use the paddles but I like to .

I was 6' and 300#'s in 2014 and I'm "smaller" now. My short inseam is a slight problem (with my Wife on the back) on the DCT because it's higher than the F6B.
