Been kind of doing it ass backwards, buying some stuff for my "some day" F6b. Got my bag liners, my black LED front reflector conversion kit and am waiting on my Super Shark grip buddies. Went yesterday to open up a checking account at a bank that carries the paper for my Charger and they needed to run a credit app, so fine they did, talked about a bike and next thing I know they have me talking to this loan lady and I must have smoozed her big time because the silly girl gave me another loan. So just for shits and giggles I called the dealer that had the '13 black Deluxe demo, 2,400 miles, was the owners demo, that they were asking 17,500 for when Honda had the 1,000 thing going on, it was now 16,999 , I offered them 16,500 and they said 'HELL NO" and I started to walk away... Well tomorrow I sign the paperwork. I will be a F6b owner, YEE HA. :clap2::041:

I have a plan, the Shtbk, '90 Fl w/127 Ultima engine, is black, F6b is black, by the time it comes time to ride, when I pull the cover off of the F6b, she will look at it for a while and say it looks different to which I will reply, winter accessory budget dear, accessory budget.

Yeah, unfortunetly, most guys have to live by that premise. I know I am lucky, by plan and design, because I would only marry a woman that rides a motorcycle herself, so she is 100% on board with any bike I want to buy, or any accessory I want to buy, because I also do all the mechanical work on all her bikes. Want to really make a woman happy ? Teach her to ride, and set her free. :icon_wink:

Taking her out of town for the weekend, not part of the plan, just worked out that way, asking for forgiveness is down the road. Besides, when I built the new garage, I knew that upstairs bonus room/man cave would come in handy some day.

Christmas 2003 I opened a shirt box and out comes a set of Goldwing keys and a note to pick it up the next day. EMS followed soon. :yikes: She is a keeper! 51 years and counting. Oh yeah, she does not ride due to an inner ear problem. The note is displayed in my Wing hangar till this day. :041: Congratulations on your new F6B.

Yep, sure is cold this morning. It is 16 degrees out, when I went out to take care of the critters. But everyday when I look at the weather map to see how cold it is outside, I also glance off to the north and east a tiny bit, to see what the temps are where Kevin (kjelders) lives, and he is usually 3 to 5 degrees colder than my place. :icon_frown:

At least our roads are 99% clear, so I was actually thinking of taking the bike over to the shop that does wrap work on vehicles. Hmmmm...

Choptop, you may want to consider...if you have not already done so...to join WingStuff as a VIP member, because it will save you as LOT of money over the next many years. For the initial cost of paying for a VIP membership on WingStuff.com, you will recoup at least 10 times that amount in the first year, or...if you are in competition withg Steve for the most accessories on your bike, then you may recoup, as much as 20 times, or 30 times the cost of the original investment of a VIP membership.

See...a VIP membership is really an investment :icon_wink:

You do want to be treated like a VIP...don't you ?

Well Miles, I initially rejected the offer to become a VIP member when I ordered one of the pre F6b items that I received, but I am now reconsidering that decision. I kinda already feel like a VIP, being a member of this forum and being able to share ideas and the feeling of comradery that comes w/owning the F6b.:icon_rolleyes: And the fact that Steve, I think, kind of laid down a challenge, I will need to save every penny that I can.:icon_biggrin:

Yes...yes ? Does that mean you will become a VIP member? You are correct that you are already a VIP member of this forum, or....well....we will let you think you are anyway :icon_wink: :039::icon_wink:

Look, I do not receive a penny, a nickle, or a dime from WingStuff for the promotion of being a VIP on their site. I just believe that it is a smart thing to do, given the amount of items we buy to accessorize these F6Bs with. And given that WingStuff is a supplier for a large majority of the things we buy, it just makes sense to save a lot of money, by spending a little bit of money to join as a VIP member.

I made my very first purchase through WingStuff the very next day after I bought this F6B. And I was not a VIP member on WingStuff before I bought this F6B. In fact, I was riding a different brand of bike before this, and had not heard of WingStuff. But bought the bike on a Saturday, and the next day, on a Sunday, I went to WingStuff, looked at all the things I would want to buy for this bike, ordered a lot of stuff...was given the opportunity to join as a VIP member, took me 3.14159 seconds to do the calculations of all the things I wanted to buy, discounted by the VIP prices, and it was a no brainer for me. (of course, that "was" before the lightning strike hit me on the head)

The choice is yours "coffee"

Deal is done, paid the dealer today, they will pull it off the floor, change oil, 2,400 mi and wash and wax it before I pick it up, w/in 10 days, weather sucks, it is 70 miles away and I haven't figured hoe to get it home yet.

Have gotten a few little things and have my mind set on a few must haves to be ready to roll some time in mid May. Hear they are: I am going to go to the dark side, had a 280 Metzler on a Warrior, like the fat look and the other stuff is a plus. Wind shield, have 14" windvest on the Harley, keeps road stuff and wind off my chest but my forehead takes a beating. Still like the short/sporty look, 9" probably not much better than stock, 11" at least, Dark tint or opaque. Lowering link, Like my rides low, '71 choptop chevy C10, no speed bumps, '09 hemi charger, no speed bumps, my lower exhaust is scratched to sht.Harley, lowered, both my Warriors had Trick air ride. I will go 1 -1 1/4 ". Exhaust will stay stock, like to hear the engine wine, besides I have the Harley w/2 into 1. Seat will be fine. I blame my second wife, Hispanic, for liking my rides lowered.

This will definitely be fun, but worth it kind of expensive.

'welcome gang', choptop! Just a couple of cautions based on your plans... I'm a darksider myself so be careful in selecting your tire and you'll be fine. There is a space limitation and that will keep you from going too wide so watch out for that. Also, lowering could present problems depending on how "spirited" you like to ride. The footpegs already drag quite easily even at standard height so going lower will make that even more of a nuisance.

Thanks for the heads up. I have heard talk of guys having to deflate the tire to get it in place. Only considering an inch on the lowering, it's still an inch but I am not that spirited of a rider

More experienced riders might disagree with this method but I'd suggest you put one leg over the saddle, plant both feet firmly on the ground, turn the ignition on, 2 min warm up, ensure all systems are good to go, clutch, first gear, roll on straight home.:icon_wink:

Choptop, I can assure you that Unsub, Kevin, Dale, and myself are all sitting with about 6 inches of snow on our roofs and driveways, as it has been coming down very heavy for the past 3.5 hours. Almost 2 inches an hour since it started. .snowremoval. The poor guys around the Portland, OR. area got it worse than we did. 'freezing-cold'

Glad I have the bike a little apart, doing improvements to it, so I don't fret about riding it in this snow. :yikes:

Yep on the snow, Rainier where I live is north west of Portland and as of this morning have about 18" of snow on the ground, my place is at about 800 ft. elevation though. Congrats on the new ride choptop. One thing about the northwest the snow doesn't usually last long.
