We received our own seat from Mustang today for our F6B that is being painted. Needed it before the Graphics were air brushed to make sure the stitching color will be close.
Turned out pretty good. Hopefully it will look as good on the bike. Stitching is Dark Cherry.

Let us know how it fits and how the installation goes...Some have had issues trying to get the seat bolts in correctly and then having problems with the saddlebags not opening when done mounting the seat....

Received mine a few weeks ago. The front bolts were hell to get in but worth the pain. Wingstuff sells the pointed chrome seat bolts to make the install easier. Love the comfort & lumbar support.

I ordered a Mustang seat also but I'm still awaiting delivery. How long did it take for delivery after you ordered your seat. I've owned two other Mustang seats and I'm eager to receive mine.

Mustang just came out with a Custom Seat Program. On the F6B Seat you can change the center panel color and also change the stitching color. The color options are shown on the Mustang site.

It runs $120 extra for center panel and stitching on a one piece seat. On a lot of the other seat it also includes the tuck and roll option which is included in the tuck and roll for the F6B.

If anyone wants one just let us know. They do look great and worth it if you plan on keeping the bike for a while.

I can't believe that I did it cause I have always loved Russell Day Long but I ordered the Mustang seat with the ridges from Cruisercustomizing. To me you can't beat the looks, just hope that it feels as good as it looks!. They said the estimated shipping date was 3/23/14.

Memphian,
I ordered mine on EBay on a Thuesday and had it on the following Thursday.

Kind of upsets me. I just checked Ebay and they have the seat for the same price that cruisercustomizing is selling it for and I could have it by the 19th of this month - with free shipping. Hate to take a sale away from a sponser but what is a rider/customer supposed to do?

Is it .....REALLY in stock and ready to ship? Mustang has a lot of dealers and most likely fills orders as received. Depending on when the dealer placed the order will determine who will have a seat for you. Our supporting vendors (including a new one) seem to do a good job of keeping stock.

Received mine today. Fine looking seat, after about a half hour of aggravation w/trying to get the bolts lined up and started I decided F it, am ordering the pointy bolts from Wingstuff . Not going any where in the near future.

Try lining it up with a Phillips Screwdriver. The Mustang guy on the video makes it look easy, but he obviously has practiced just a little.
Some seats are a little difficult, this is one of them. We have had a few of them over the years like this, make sure you just start everything then tighten after both sides are started.
The Video may help. We did ask Mustang about providing pointy head bolts with the seats, they are looking into it but I don't think they are going to do it.

It always looks easy when they do it, no big thing, a reason to order some more stuff.:icon_lol:

Mustang does fill Dealer Orders in order as they are received. I can call our rep up and find out exactly where our seats are in line at any time. If you are purchasing from someone that does not stock and orders as they get orders as most do, you will go to the end of the line.

The dealer on EBay also will most likely be cut off pretty quick because Mustang is now enforcing the Minimum Advertised Pricing Policy. It is taking them a bit to shut people off if they don't comply. They try and cheat by a few dollars and also not put down on the ebay edit that they are not in stock so it shows shipping as the time it would take to get to you.

We have a code for our F6B customers to use on checkout on these seats, "seat4percent", or give us a call for the same price.

I ordered my seat directly from Mustang. They contacted me yesterday and said my seat ships next week. This is my second Mustang Seat and I'm sure I will love this one as much as my last. I would only purchase from a reputable dealer like Rick or directly from Mustang.
