My bike was supposed to be done last week but we all know how that goes. Then it was supposed to ready this Wednesday and that didn't happen. They finally got all 82 pieces back today and started assembling it, should be ready this weekend so I will pick it up on Monday. This is what they sent me today to shut me up......:041:

I can't wait to see it all back together. I'm sure glad I let them do the dis-assemble and re-assemble, I never would have gotten all that back together. I have taken my prior bikes apart myself and brought the parts to the shop for paint but I was talked into letting them do it and I'm sure glad I did! More pics to follow of the ongoing project......Lots of mods sitting on the bench!!! :icon_mrgreen:

OLE CHIT!!!

That's a lotta painted/pieces/parts!!!!! :yikes:

I'm positive I could disassemble/reassemble, but I'd probably end up with a few 'extra' parts!!! LOL!!!

It's a flat black paint with a matte clear coat. I didn't want a total flat look but also didn't want it too glossy. It has a slight satin look to it, it's exactly the result I was looking for. It came out perfect for me.

I'll let you know when I pay for it. I know what I was quoted so we'll see if that's what it ends up being. I've been negotiating with my dealer since the day I bought it in June. He finally said a number I felt good about so I went for it. The Honda dealer also factored in disassembly and reassembly. When I have the total I will let you know.

Hey, that's cheating! I had to try to remember how to put it all back together when I painted mine. What a royal pain in the rear.

Glad I did it, but don't want to do it again any time soon. More parts than I would have ever thought I would be painting and working with.

But again, the results were worth it, I am sure you will be much happier with better paint and a better looking bike.

The picture of parts on the table make me cringe. Ouch!! It's gonna look awesome though.

This bike is brand new to me, in a year I will know every inch of it but not the case yet. I have always done all my own work on my bikes, mods, maintenance, taking it apart and rebuilding for paint jobs, etc. The dealer convinced me to let them do the break down and rebuild and I'm glad he did. I asked a couple guys on the other Wing board and they told me in all it would be about 40 pieces all together that I would have to take off for paint. It ended up being 82 because I wanted everything possible painted for an exact match. They said it will be done in the morning, I hope to pick it up Monday. :icon_mrgreen:

Love the look! It should be a "standout" when you are finished :clap2: I hope you'll post pics after the bike is fully re-assembled.
