View Full Version : I had to do it...
This is what I spent part of my day doing. I know lots of 6 owners love the blacked out look, but I needed mine to shine just a bit more. I really like my new look. Sorry for the poor lighting.4934

I like it!
Phantom posted a pic of a black one w/~similar~ treatment earlier.
Did you trade someone rims, have 'em laying around, or?
Thank you! Phantom's photo gave me the idea... I'm glad he shared.
I still have my stock rims - I may consider putting them on the board after I move them around the garage a few times.

I'm glad someone mentioned rims. I thought you spent all day installing those transmission covers. :icon_wink:
Now that you mention transmission covers... Does anyone else find have a hard time with those little rubber buttons on the upper front corner of the covers?

Mine pop off everytime I take the cover off. Bike looks great!

I thought I was the only one that couldn't make those things stay on..........I think I will silicone them on to the transmission cover.

Gotta smile just right to keep 'em in place,,, Also requires 'precise' panel installation/removal, which I have not quite, but almost, mastered,,,

I've thought about the OEM polished rims before,,,
I already have a polished rear rim in the attic from a trike take off.
Anybody know what year/model front OEM rim is a direct-fit for our 6's?

Double check...but all ..except one washer on the left side you will need to keep from your bike...per the local dealer!
