We had really warm weather here in TN/NC this past week. I took a couple of days day off, used our cabin in the smokies for a home base, and did a 300 mile ride: across the Smoky Mountain National Park, up The Rattler NC209 to Hot Springs, NC, then took the Blue Ridge Parkway back to the Park. The two lower sections of the BRP, the most mountainous and highest elevations, had just reopened the day before. At some point, I think we should have a NC/TN rider group meet at the cabin for a ride and overnight. Here are a few pics:

River Road in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, just a few miles from the cabin. Nice twisties, mostly level, along the river for great (distracting) views:

I upload original image to Photobucket. When posting to this forum, select tool for Insert Image, paste Photobucket direct link URL, unselect RETRIEVE the remote file. So, forum size limits are not in effect. The forum never hosts the file. Just displays it from Photobucket. You can use Flickr or any other photo hosting place. I use Photobucket because I always have and can use it quickly.

Another PIC.... the F6b, in its natural habitat, overlooks the terrain it is about to cross. Let the big dog eat.

Just a correction .....

Forum limits ARE in effect, the image brought over from photobucket is automically adjusted to the maximum size allowed.

The image increases or decreases if you were to grab the page corner play with it. (At least on my Apple it does)

A safe size is 640 X 480 but our limit is bit bigger then that. :shhh: :icon_biggrin:
