After my inaugural F6b ride today that I need some highway pegs, like the clean look of the Rivco Aero flip outs but know nothing of them Would go for the black but I like the strip of chrome that would come off the engine, ya I'm a chrome guy, so I am thinking about the triple chromed ones.
I' lowered, Mustang seat, 5'9",31" inseam.

Input from flip out owners would be appreciated or input on other options, thanks in advance.

I am also 5'9" 31" inseam. I just put the aero pegs in chrome on my bike today. The pegs can be positioned in the center between the two bolts in the chrome strip, or about an inch to the rear, where they will just cover up the rear bolt. I have them towards the rear.

They look really nice. I think they balance out the chrome mufflers and maintain the stock look that you and I like.

I have the stock seat

I went for a brief ride and tried them out. The seating position is a little weird...feet up a little high, and out, yet your hands are still down kind of low on the handlebars. The pegs are narrow front to back, and I had a little trouble keeping my feet positioned on them, at least initially. The wind pushed back on my feet and the rear edge of the valve covers hit my inner ankles.
It also felt a little funny being so far from the foot controls.

My old bike was a Harley with forward controls, slightly raised handlebars and a dished in seat so this is what I am used to.

I will let you know what else I think after I have some more miles on them.

@Coop creek: Are those the ones you are talking about? Seen at Wingstuff (http://wingstuff.com/products/35527-1-aero-flip-out-highway-pegs-anodized-silver-for-gl1800-honda-f6b?context=footrests_stands-f6b). I like those because of their hidden attachment on the bike, but i also don't want to loose the chrome thing on the engine.

Yes, that is the Rivco Aero flip-out highway peg, but the one in your picture is anodized silver. You can buy one that has a chrome finish but it will cost more. The chrome finished assembly replaces the chromed plastic strip (with the "HONDA" emblem), with a chromed metal strip. The pegs attach with two bolts into threaded holes in the metal strip.

I absolutely LOVE them. I used them all day yesterday and they are SO comfortable. I'm 5' 11", 32" inseam and I have them set on the middle setting. They can move back or forward one inch from there. Here's a pic and video:

They have a slight purple hue to them in the sunlight but it doesn't bother me at all.

I've been thinking about getting these myself. At 5'10" I was worried they would be too far forward. I guess I'll order a set and if I don't like them, there will be a set for sale here.

Nice. I noticed there were none listed on Amazon. Another local vendor for us is BaggerShield, They are in St Michael MN.

Most venders won't have any for a month or so, Wing Stuff didn't, Rivco keeps a few, for customers, on the shelf.

So how are they in twisties?

You couldn't drag them if you wanted to, they are too high up. Personally, I wouldn't use them on back roads, just on hiways

Real easy to move if you don't get them in the right spot first time.

Value Accessories carries the Rivco aero highway pegs and they have a better price on them then any other vendor I have found. Even better than Rivco itself.

Considering how long the Aero pegs have been out with the known problem of the purple hue and considering these pegs are by no means inexpensive, I find it inexcusable this has not been corrected. IMHO, it's utterly ridiculous that you had to powder coat them to make them actually black. Come on, Rivco! You can do better than that!

Even better, I live only 35 miles from the Rivco business, in Burlington. Maybe I'll take a ride their tommoro morning and check out all their stuff. Not sure they are open on Saturdays, but I will see.
