I had an 06 VTX1800C once,,, :yes: I look back on it now as kind of a 'brute',,, I believe you'll warm up to the 6 quite nicely!!!

Omaha? Born and raised 30 miles east of there,,, (Oakland)

Welcome to the fold!!!!

Welcome. I'm a fellow newbie and former VTX owner. I had an 1800C and recently traded my 1800N for my black deluxe. Waiting for the weather to give us a bit more of a break here in WI to really get some miles on. Love the transition. I feel like I've moved on to a more "sophisticated" ride moving from the big twin to the sportier look and feel of the F6B. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Are you planning on keeping the X? Much different, especially if you have aftermarket pipes on the X. I had the Freedom Performance Curved Radius pipes and they were damn loud. Happy to be on my quiet F6 now. :icon_biggrin:

Welcome, Racer .welcome20. Enjoy your new ride :clap2: It will be interesting to see how long the VTX stays around. For the first time in quite a while, the F6B is the only bike in my garage. It's the most versatile ride I've had in a very long time. :icon_biggrin:

Congrats.
Nice to have a big V-Twin to ride also. I have a VN2000, very similar to your VTX 1800 to go along with a flat six.
Both nice for different types of riding.

I'm in C.B. but since few can identify with that... Omaha is easier.

Planning on keeping the X. It is a loud, rude beast. :yes:

Now, I can take the shield and bags off of it. I prefer the stripped down look.

ABSOLUTELY! (I do the same when asked 'Where were ya born?)

Heck, I'm not REALLY living in 'Houston' now either. (Katy) But I figure it's 'close e'nuff'! .batman-smilie.

Which year/model/spec X do ya have?

Best of both worlds. I'm envious. I would have loved to have kept both. Enjoy!.batman-smilie.

:yes::yes::yes:

Mine was a spec 1C,,, I always admired the Spec 3's,,, 'kickthecan'

The wife was almost too scared to sit on the X in the garage,,, she kept saying it was 'top heavy',,, :shrug:

I must admit, the COG on the 6 is a bit lower than the X! :icon_wink:

ENJOY!!!!
