Coming home from a memorial service in Denton I ran over a screw and got a good size hole in the rear tire...put some slime and 2 plugs in it and made it home but need a replacement.
Should I just get the same stock tire or what?? Any preferences??

Thanks!

Just like undies,,, we all have our preferences,,,

I predict we'll see all kinds of 'preferences',, form OEM to 'dark-side'

'popcorn and coke'

Well I don't want to darkside, so that should take away a few of the options! Ha

Best 'all-around' tire,,,

OEM.

If the dark side is out ...then OEM is the only way to go!!!!!

I don't think it's really ever been 'in', Steve,,,

Ever/never/never ever! :nono:

Kinda like a 3rd cousin twice removed that shows up at a reunion,,, Yeah, there are a few 'out there', but, not everyone claims 'em!,

For a few extra bucks I got from ebay a new take off and dealer replaced valve stem to a solid 90 degree. $275.00 shipped!
No down time and can take with you for any long excursions.

Quite a few GL take-offs out there. (Silver) I picked up a GL rim / tire, s-arm, final, rotor, pads, caliper when I got the bike.

Black is a bit harder to find, but they come around.

Fronts are tough to come by short of 'new in box'... I wouldn't mind picking up a GL front so I'd have both a GL set and F6B set,,,

OEM is good. I'd also take a look at Michelin commander 2, and Pirelli Phantom.

I don't care for the OEM front. Tracks funny on several surfaces around here...

Personally, I would never trade grip for mileage, but some are obsessed with how many miles they can get.

Haven't heard much about the Metzeler Marathon on the F6. Had one on my old Valk, seemed to run fine.

Currently, Michelin doesn't make a Commander II Radial for the wing. They have similar sizes for HD but they are Bias ply.

The only 'new' tire in the works for a Wing that I'm aware of is the Metz 888
