Just wondering if any body has fitted a tow hitch to their F6B yet? I am about to fit one and wondered if there are any glitches I should know about.

Thanks for the link. Sadly the freight costs are prohibitive to Australia. I can source them here so I will follow that up.

I have the Kuryaykn on from Wingstuff. Solid hitch ! For me, installation took some time, but it was worth it. Research the plug and play wiring and life gets easier. Also, help from this forum is a big asset !!

I've been looking at the Rivco hitch. Lightweight and strong.

I picked up the Bushtec hitch from Wingstuff and installed it myself, easy enough, went to Wingding and had Bushtec install the wiring harness and then went and picked up my '98 Roadstar trailer, it's just money, I make a little 5 days of the week. lol

Ok, I have no idea what the difference is in a 1st gen and 2nd gen GL1800.

I have a 2013 F6B Deluxe and I realize it is a GL1800 something.....

I want to get the correct hitch and $169 is a good price!

HELP.

I have the rivco, I wanted all connecting points to be at the main frame of the
bike, you may wont to look at the other 1800 forum plenty of information their.
This is my rivco. And remember your mud flap to protect your trailer.

Differences are 2010 and older 1st gen, 2012 and later 2nd gen. Saddle bag shape requires longer hitch and / or hitch head.

I've got Rivco hitch, all aluminum and very light weight. Does require you to cut slot in rear fender for draw bar to go thru.
Rivco hitch mounts to frame of bike like Bustec hitch.

Not a fan of cutting a hole in the rear panel.... in the pic to the left my hitch is installed just not the pin the trailer rides on....stealth !!!

Well after talking to Tom about hitches I decided to use the 1st generation hitch
from Rivco reason being as he told me the father the ball is behind the tire you
loose some stability of the trailer as that distance gross.

Just wondering why you cut your fender like that?
I have a rivco in garage for f6 still in the box but instructions showed only a 1/4" x 3" slit be cut just below plate.
It looks as you also cannot remove receiver from bike.

naga viper it is cut because I used a pre 2012 Rivco hitch, and I wanted keep
the ball as close to the rear tire as possible.
