I notice a few names from the Valkyrie broad on this site.
To me this is a great replacement for the Valkyrie.
Better than the new Valkyrie.
I sold one Valk and traded in my 07 St1300 for a F6B.
What a great bike."fireybat"

I had a 1998 Valkyrie in the beautiful dark blue and cream color. In between I've had three Ultra Classic Electraglides, a Road King, a Road King Custom, a Yamaha Royal Star Venture, a BMW R1200CLC, and a 2002 GL1800.

My favorite two bikes from all these ... First Place, my new F6B. Second place goes to that beautiful Valkyrie!

Rode a 99 Black Valk Tourer for 6+ years and traded for a 1800 VTXF..Had several bikes since then and all were nice bikes, but none of them compare to my F6B...Missed the power and smoothness so I returned to the flat six.....Ride safe.....

I had a '97 Valkyrie Tourer, green & cream colored. It was a great bike....regretted it the minute I sold it and bought a H-D Ultra Classic. I'm back to stay now on the F6B.

I lose track of years but I bought a Valk the first year they came out. It was the black/yellow "bumblebee" model. Kept it for 3-4 years which is longer than I have kept most bikes. Went to a BMW K12LT after that...big mistake :icon_frown:.

The F6B sits in my garage next to my 2000 Valk Interstate and my still favorite ride my 1978 GL1000. After putting 105k miles on the Valk I started wanting something new. So the Valk will have the Car tire pulled off on and a few extras taken off and then be put up for sale.

I've had two Valks. Still have one parked right next to my F6B. So that is at least 9, but I'm telling you there are a lot more.

Three Valk family soon to be a two F6B family.
Still have my 115,000 mile '97 Tourer & the wife's 33,000 mile '98 tourer.
Both are for sale.

The black 'n silver 1999 is what I traded in on my F6B.
It took a lot of soul searching to make the decision to replace the Valkyries. They are that good of a motorcycle!

Traded my 98 standard/ tour with107,000 miles on her Oct 9,2013. Bought new in Sept 2000. I have no regrets. Handles better, bigger bags, great tunes. The F6B was the only bike that talked to me in 13 years. Tried to ignore the call for 5 months to no avail.

Rode my 2003 Valk for 10 years. Never saw a bike that made me think of replacing it until the F6B came along. No regrets, I love the F6B, but I'd sure like to take a ride on that Valk again just for grins.

I had 2 Valks at the same time. Sold a 98 Tourer is early June and the 99 Interstate is on the selling block now. Loved both
of them. I was hooked on the F6B after sitting on one at a dealer. It felt lighter than the Valkyries even at rest..Never intended
to buy one but the first sitting did it for me...Picked my 2013 up the second week of June.

I am curious ad to what kind of money the old Valks are fetching, I have had mine for sale at 5K to leave myself plenty of room to discount, I even have offered it to my nephew at what I think is a rock bottom 4K. Any recent sales numbers would help me decide whether to cut the price or just store it for the winter and try again in the spring.

I am keeping my Valk, but that said, a Standard can vary a lot depending on mileage and condition.year ago ore Anywhere from $3500 to $6500 for really low mileage examples. I looked at one a year ago or so that was an '03 with less than 1500 miles.

I've got a lot of accessories and love in mine. If I wanted to sell, I would surely part out the accessories. However that won't account for having hand polished the forks and trees and other things like that. I've extra chrome bits, Woody's fairing, custom audio with amp and 6 Kicker speakers, LED lights, light bar ,Ultimate seats, bags, rails etc...
I have almost 80k on my 2000. If I were to strip her, I'd probably be doing good to get #s in the lower spectrum. Just not worth it to me. Too many memories and love there.:icon_rolleyes:

My Valkyrie is still in the family. Our youngest son has it now.
Pictures are from a couple of weeks ago when he was with us on the Skyline Dr. and Blue Ridge Pkwy.

This summer I sold my 98 Tourer without the bags and most of the extra's off for $3700. The bike was like new with 112,000 miles on it. I sold the bags for $1050 and sold other parts for over $1000. I still have some parts to sell. I never would have gotten anything close to $6000 if the bike had the extra's on.

I have owned five Valkyrie's and just sold a '97 Valk for $4,700 with 30k miles a few months ago.

I can see selling the Valk, but curious how you compare the F6B to the ST1300?

Or did you just not need 2 long distance bikes?

I still have, but don't ride, a '98 Tourer (Jade Green and Black) with 7 summers of fond memories. I was actually considering buying
a low-mileage Valk Interstate for longer trips, and keeping the Tourer. THEN I saw pictures of the F6B.

I'll probably sell the Valkyrie next year, but I'll continue to go to the VOAI Renunions. A bunch of great guys.

My first Valk was a 98 blue and cream Standard, great bike and I rode it everywhere. Then I bought a rare 97 black and yellow Standard (Bumblebee) fully chromed out and ended up selling the blue an cream one a month later. Then I ran across a red and white Tourer that had 86 miles on it. It had been parked for 14 years when I bought it. Had to fix some stuff for sure but finally got her back on the road. Then I seen the F6B at Bike Week here in phoenix and that did it. I sold the red and white Tourer and a Suzuki DRZ400 dirt bike and bought the F6B. I still have the Bumblebee but I believe it might be time to seriously think about selling her.

The ST1300 was a great bike fast and fun the St wanted to go fast. I had the ST for a year and I never took for a long distance trip. A few 200 mile days and one 300 miles the bike did great and I felt fine. But the Valk and now the F6B just felt good the handle bars, seat, and feet all fit right the ST didn't. But I will miss the ST and once I sell my last Valkyrie I will miss that too.

I also had the Bee ... It was a great bike , I unfortunatlly sold her when I got the F6B ... I had to many bikes and not enough space . Still kick my self for selling .
I'm down to 7 bikes .

Me too, or should I say me 12. Anyway, had a beautiful 99 Interstate. Some custom paint by Dan Kite finished off extra chrome beautifully. Triked that Valk in May of 2013 and rode to Lake George. As I dismounted after the ride, I knew I had made a mistake. Robbed the power and took 80% of the fun away. Test drove several of the competition, but halfway across the parking lot, and I knew the F6B would be the replacement. As someone else said here, it felt lighter even coming off the stand. Smooth as silk, plenty fof power and oh, so comfy. The Valk was a looker, but the F6B is a better ride for me. Hope to see ya'll in Franklin!

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but getting closer to having an F6B in the garage. This may be hard to believe but I've owned 25 Valkyrie's since 2000. I guess it would be safe to say that I really like the Valkyrie's. Started out with a 98 Tourer and after that had several Standards, some more Tourers and several Interstates. Had as many as five of them at one time, Some of them were short term, some 2 or 3 years and a 99 interstate that I have owned for 14 years and over 100,000 miles and climbing. Supervalked it and still have it and a 2001 Interstate as well as a 2004 Rune. The Rune is a lot of fun to ride but definitely not the long distance ride like the Valk's or the F6B is. I've liked the F6B since it was first announced and test rode one a couple of months back and really liked it. I've test ridden a lot of bikes the last 10 years but the F6B was the first one that felt like a direct replacement for the Valkyrie.
I had shoulder replacement surgery 5 weeks ago and getting closer to getting back in the saddle again. If it wasn't for that probably would have bought one right after the test ride. I'll probably keep at least one of the Valk's and add an F6B as a stable mate. :icon_biggrin:

I,m not surprised many of us had a Valkyrie, and were naturally drawn to this great new brute.

I had the 98 Tourer. All black. I had this together with a Goldwing for almost 11 years. It was a mood decision to go with the luxury and comfort of the Wing or the growl of the tuned exhaust on the Valk. No radio, better performance, looks from every rider.

I sadly decided, with a growing back problem and the stiffer ride on the Valk, I would be more comfortable on the Wing. It was misery to run 100 miles out, only to have my back start in and the 100 miles back to the garage.

Then 8 months later, I felt I no longer needed the weight and storage of a full dress bike. So I sold the Wing too.

Here's where it gets crazy ! Somehow, still beyond my own self understanding, I bought a BMW K1200LTC ! LIke HornBlower noted earlier.......BIG MISTAKE !
That bike is top heavy, under-powered, difficult to ride, over-engineered and expensive. TWO final drives went out in 5000 miles !!

Then in my local Honda dealer 9 months later looking for maybe an ST1300,... I catch a glimpse of the F6B...."what the hell is that ? "
Days later while buying the dream... I kept asking myslef why it feels so familiar...... "OH MY GOD.... its the Valkyrie !"

I also traded my 2001 Valk and 2009 V-Strom 650 for my F6B! Yes, I also miss my V-Strom a lot.
