I've got a commitment Wednesday evening, and am leaving OKC Thursday morning at 3AM, with plans to be there Thursday evening. We'll see how I handle my first 1k mile day on the F6.

4 weeks as of the 27th.....I do appreciate people's concern. I feel it will be ok...if I drop my bike then someone will have to pick it up for me...If I need to remove my trailer, yes I would need a hand...can I carry 4 cases of drinks ...I should not! I feel fine! I have not nor have I ever lived my life on "what ifs"... having said that I have a profound love of Jesus and we have talked about it...he seems to think I will be fine!

Calling for rain. So our group decided to reschedule the dragon ride to some other weekend. Will try for next year rally. Is it yearly held at Franklin ?

20% rain on Thursday. That's nothing! Trying 100% humidity with 92 degrees and 70% chance of monsoon, like South Florida!

Man have I got a great wife. On August 15th, my wife had an MRI ran to try to find out what was causing the debilitating pain in her leg. She had started a new exercise class around July !st and thought that she had torn her hamstring. Long story short, she has been off of work and laid up in the bed the last two weeks. Diagnosis, ruptured disc L5 S1. 2nd round of steroid injections in the spine today, and her pain level has gone from a 10 to about 6 to 7. Surgery is scheduled for a week from tomorrow.

After planning on attending this rally for the last 10 months, I began to think, man I can't go and leave her like this. Here's the good part. I was working an MSF class this evening, and when I got home the first thing she told me was. YOU'RE GOING ON THIS TRIP! Her best friend is going to be staying with her while I'm gone. I had to cancel the trip to the PNW rally in July because I had separated my shoulder, and yet I promise you, I never showed my wife any disappointment that I would probably have to cancel this one too. She is insisting that I go, and who am I to argue. I will miss the Friday ride with you guys, but will be in sometime Friday. Can't wait.

I'd REALLY like to do the rally but Labor Day weekend is almost always on our anniversary :)
