F6b audio with or without helmet

Hi, I would like to know what is your experience about the Honda original audio headset. The speakers are so big, they hardly fit in my helmet. Are there other possibilities so I can listen to the F6B radio. Do I always have to attach the intercom wire? Thanks for your help. Greetings from Belgium
