Absolutely, besides giving great support to my passenger, it's also easier to back the bike out of the garage pushing on the extended backrest.

Thanks for making these! The stock backrest is to low to be comfortable... I was thinking about taking it on and off when I am solo, like the clean look of the back. It looks like this would be pretty easy to take on and off, only two screws to tighten and loosen, any reason that isnt a good idea?

Yours will be mailed out on Monday...should be in hand by Wed...... and yes, with only two bolts I have gone w/ and w/o a backrest many times...I like how it changes the look of the bike and with my pillion, she feels safer w/ the taller backrest!!! Thanks!!!

Yes ... Would like to know the distance from where the stock top holes are on the stock part to where the top holes are on your parts. trying to figure out if it is a significant change from the Ultimate Seats extension part I already have. Thanks.

Hi Steve ... Let me try to re-phrase ... The Ultimate Seats extension bar advertises it raises the backrest 3" up from the stock height.

You have stated yours are 8.5" in overall length. Can you tell me how much your bar raises the backrest up from stock?

From my measurements the new riser will raise your back rest 4 5/16 of an inch, there are more pics on link below...hope this helps!

Another satisfied customer. I ordered the backrest riser late Monday - it arrived via 2 day shipping yesterday (included in the price). Took about 10 minutes to install - very easy, just need a 5mm and 6mm allen wrenches and a 10mm wrench. The fit and finish is perfect - looks like an OEM piece of the bike, and importantly, the wife likes it much better than the standard rest which she felt was too low. Thanks Steve!!

Just arrived today with no extra taxes or customs fees. I put it on the bike so the wife can sit and try it.
She says its perfect. Too much snow to go riding....but there is always next week. Well made.
