I have had mine from Bike MP3 for about a year, good fit, nice dark smoke look, no problems.

Got these from WingStuff.

http://wingstuff.com/products/36141-smoke-turnsignals-for-gl1800?context=turn_signals_tailights

Not very dark, but very clean looking with no lens lines. Comes with the foam seal already installed and fits perfect.

I would think that these all come from the same place... aren't they all the same.

Well, yes... China. :icon_biggrin: However, they most definately do not look the same. Lots of options to suite your personal taste.

If you go with SoCal you might think about the Switch Back signal install at the same time. They have a kit with signals, flasher, and lenses. Turns the amber signals white while driving then amber when turning.:clap2:
Love mine!
My lenses came from WINGSTUFF then I added the Switch Backs later, by buying only the signals and flasher.

I mean they're all created from the same mold based on the OEM shape and pressed using the same type of plastic, no?

The only difference between any of the lenses is the name on the packaging.

No, they are not the same. Yes, they all have the basic OEM lens shape so that they fit the mirror housing. However every manufacturer has a slightly different look. Here are the differences I found when I researched purchasing lenses.

AddOn (http://wingstuff.com/products/36141-smoke-turnsignals-for-gl1800?from_search=1) - Light tint, no lens lines, gasket included:
8830

BikeMP3 (http://www.bikemp3.com/GL800-Mirror-Turn-Signals-Smoked-Lens-HGW-TRN-SMK.htm) - Darkest tint, lens lines, no gasket included:
8827

ShowChrome (http://wingstuff.com/products/35584-smoke-signal-lenses-w-amber-bulb) - Medium tint, lens lines, gasket included:
8829

SoCal (http://www.socalmotogear.com/GL1800-Turn-Signal-Lens-p/g18tcl.htm) - Medium tint, lens lines, gasket included:
8828

I hope this helps. :icon_biggrin:

I'm thinking about getting the BikeMP3 signals. Does anyone who installed them regret it because the tint blocks too much light?

Also, I would love to see more photos of various signals actually installed. Thanks!

Bump this thread.

Same question. Are the bikemp3 dark smoke too dark? Is it better to have the switchback? How does the amber bulbs look through the smoke tint?
