Any chance of opening up the search feature to allow three letter searches?

I think I realize why that restriction is in place, but man it would be nice to search for terms like "VIN", "MPG", "NAV", and maybe a few others.

This is nothing that we can change, it's a V-Bulletin (our Forum template) design.

But I can understand why it requires at least 4 letters minimum. I'm not a computer programmer either ... so I don't know how to change it if there is a way to do so. The search feature does work well. I just tried VIN list and there it was on top of the list of possible threads.

I play on this forum quite a bit... I believe it's V-Bulletin also... but somehow they have it setup for three letter searches and it seems to do ok; very fast and relevant returns.

I might ask the mod there if this is easy to setup... then I can come here and bug you some more about it :icon_biggrin:

But when you need to find one of those words... it's frustrating to see V-bulletin tell you you're SOL.

It's an enhancement to useability and convenience; why not be the best we can be :icon_biggrin:
