It's automotive trim molding and it does come in different colors. Mine came from AutoZone and cost about $20 for a roll.

No nut on the back. They attach with double-sided tape.

I am going to install the light rings tomorrow along with the SoCal lights in the turn signals...BlackBetty thought they did not look so good on the outside...was thinking I would try to put them behind the badge ???

The rings are designed to go AROUND the badge, not behind it. And, the reason BB12 didn't particularly like the rings is the yellow color when they are off.

Is the Decepticon on the front vinyl? The red inside the "nostrils" of the front, is that more of the molding, or are those lights? Sorry, I can't tell from the picture.

Yep, the front emblem is a vinyl decal. With the curved surface, it's difficult to use anything rigid so the vinyl works better there.

In the "eyes" are LED light bars from Custom Dynamics which scan in a Knightrider-style fashion. I have those on a switch which I can activate to serve notice to a slower rider ahead to move over and let me go :039:. It's pretty cool but not at all practical. I'm doing most of this stuff just to have some fun with it.

That would be pretty cool :yes:. Actually, I like the Autobots better (being the good guys) but went with the Decepticon theme since my black bike looks so bad :icon_evil:
