WRONG ROAD
Lost and alone, I wander life's path aimlessly.
I find myself searching but I cannot identify,
what I am searching for.
Is it a friend? Is it a companion? Is it the love of a woman?
Or is this search for a whole new and different life?
These questions that I cannot answer, consume me.
This feeling, or is it a feeling? I cannot explain.
Is this the definition of being hopelessly lost and alone?
I have no answers.
Motivation? A word I hardly know.
Energy? Is spent unwisely, what little there is.
Confidence? I believe this quality I had, has long been lost.
Self-esteem? What the hell is that?
Mid-life crises is what I will call it.
But's that's the easy way out, yea, easy, that's what I want.
Isn't that what most of us want? An easy life.
Full of all things we want, need and cheerish?
That's it! You said it! LIFE! It is not all full of roses,
it is not always fair, it will get you down at times.
THAT'S LIFE!
You make it what you want it to be.
You are in control of where and how you travel it's path.
Yea! I think I got it now. I'm going to get it all together,
I'm going to get it all back.
I'm going to start doing things differently,
Yea! that's the ticket.
I'll start tomorrow.
Now where is that bag of weed I just had?
