Wanted to share my flush-with-the-floor lift install from a few years back.

Of course it helped that my house is built on the side of a hill allowing for a 6 ft tall crawlspace under the garage.

Had my contractor cut cement, build a frame and supports underneath then pour cement leaving a hole for the air line.

I ran hoses underneath from my compressor over to and under the lift and then another 2 ft over for the foot control.

(Just sold this 2006 Street Glide 3 weeks ago)

Lol.

Actually I've seen it done on another forum where they made a deep enough recess for the lift to sit flush then cut channels in the cement on the sides to run the air hoses and you could get away without the 6 ft crawlspace/basement.

It does have a cool factor especially when a new guy comes to one of the poker games and someone hits the floor switch.

Great Idea! I have one of those lifts, never thought to recess it into the floor. You got me thinking now.

On this particular lift you lose about 7 inches of height off the deck. I could always lift it out of the recess if I needed the extra height but so far I haven't found the need.

So much easier now just rolling into the garage and into the wheel chock without having to deal with the little side to side rocking.

No lift, but I have a tornado shelter!
