Blue Ridge Parkway/ Dragons Tail

I'm thinking about doing the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Dragons Tail sometime late June 2015. Can anyone tell me where there is a good spot that's about half way between the two to rest my weary bones, what town and reasonable hotel/motel?

Just go down the hill to Robbinsville...I stayed at a small motel that was clean and close to food for $40 per night !!!

Check out Iron Horse Motorcycle Resort. ncironhorse.com They anything from a camping site, bunkhouse bed to a whole house. They have the best prime rib in Western NC. May see you there. Good luck. :cheers:

The best vacation I ever had was we and another couple trailered to N. Ga. spent the night in a motel...made arrangements to leave the truck and trailer and to come back and get it...we drove where ever we wanted, got tired stopped, got hungry, stopped and ate...it was great not have to come back to a central location. We ended up back at the motel, spend the night there, in the AM headed home... the only way to travel!!!

I have stayed at the Microtel in Robbinsville, NC many times and it has always been a great time!! My brother and I have made a trip there every year for the last 10 years. 2015 will be our 10th trip!

The TWO WHEEL INN in Robbinsville. I've stayed there a couple times. Each room has an attached garage for your Motorcycle.

We stay at the Tellico cabins. They are in Tellico Plains, TN and at the entrance to the Cherohala Skyway. When we ride the Dragon we stay in Tellico so that we can ride the skyway both ways. The dragon is fun but the skyway is 52 miles of awesome.

We just booked a cabin in Gatlinburg for June. We're gonna spend 7 days with 3 other couples riding all the roads there. I've never been so it should be fun.
