That's a hard hit on the forks, springs, valving, and seals when the front end comes down.

Yes it is a hard landing. Hitting the rev limit. With a little practice he will be able to shift to second and ease it down softer.

I did one of those last weekend with the wife riding with me without even meaning to. Was on a poker run and just left a stop surrounded by Harleys and the ones in front took off pretty hard so I let them get some distance in front of me, shifted into second, let the clutch out, told the wife to hang on like I have done many times then twisted the throttle and up comes the front tire:yikes:. As soon as I realizes what was happening I started easing up and got it back down on the ground with a fairly easy landing but from what I was told by the Harley riders behind me the front tire was about 3 ft off the ground and the rear tire was still was leaving lots of rubber on the pavement and they thought it looked pretty impressive even though the wife didn't think so.

The bike has about 13k miles on it and I have noticed it has been running noticeably better and better the more miles that it gets on it especially the last 4k miles but I had no idea it was even capable of standing the front wheel up like that with just a twist of the wrist riding double......

I used to date this fat chick who always complained when I did a wheelie. When I tried to explain to her that it was caused by all the weight being on the back of the bike she broke up with me.
Actually that made the bike a lot faster. I didn't have to stop as much to refuel her.
