After posting information about this app in another thread, I thought it'd be good info to share with everyone. EatSleepRide is an app that in addition to recording your ride it also records your lean angle during your ride and you can set up a ride group with other people and see each others location in real-time. But perhaps the best feature of the app is called CrashLight. Somehow, if the app is running (which it would be if you're recording your ride), the app can detect a crash and immediately alert your preset contacts of your crash and your location. Your contacts do not need the app to be alerted. The developer claims the app can distinguish the difference between the phone being dropped, your bike hitting a bump, etc, and a real crash. Maybe its determined by a great deceleration of speed and halted movement, I don't know. I've attached a screenshot of the CrashLight information from the app. $9.99/year isn't too bad for someone's piece-of-mind while you're out riding.

Anyone who does get the app, feel free to add me as rider, same handle for the app: Elroy

That's cool but with Sprint I probably wouldn't have a signal while out riding for my phone to be able to contact anyone. :icon_doh:

Bobby you always have the logical thought. How is this company gonna make any money with you thinking like that ? Party Pooper. Get ATT. With my Moto X I seem to always have a signal.

Verizon, here. No issues with signal when riding usually. This app is also much better on battery usage than previous ones I've tried.

Received an email from the app. The app is now live for Android users for anyone who's interested.
