Totally agree with Bigbird here. Dodge/Plymouth has owned the muscle car wars like forever. First NASCAR (Daytona) to top 200 mph on the track. In fact, it was because of the other manufacturers crying foul that the Hemi was banned in NASCAR if it was in a wing car and eventually altogether. Multiple drag racing titles and records. MOPAR is King.

I'll just say this. John Force drives a ford. His records will never be approached much less equaled. Ford sells more trucks than Chrysler sells vehicles. Mustang is the greatest race car ever built. New Ford Mustang is the fastest production vehicle built in the USA. Track tested at 205 mph. I own an auto repair shop. Family owned for over 50 years. I think everyone should have three Chrysler products in the driveway. Personally I own 2 Fords a F6B and an M109R.

All funny car/ top fuel engines are based on Chrysler's Hemi engine. Even though Force's engine has Ford stamped all over the valve covers, it's a Keith Black based Chrysler hemi.

As of this Fall, Ford finally came up with its own Boss 500 drag racing engine.

All those victories that Force got over the years were powered by a Chrysler Hemi.

The only Mopar I would consider would be a Dodge Charger Hellcat if I won some kind of lottery. I would want the fastest accelerating 4 door car on the planet, faster than any Ford 4 door.

Just a quick note here; article was posted in 2008 and JFR and Bob TascaIII ran Ford Boss 500s in top fuel with good results; NHRA pro stock teams with Boss 500 did not fare as well.
Mopar hemi head research started during WWII on their X shaped aircraft engine that did not reach production and was first used on their Chrysler and Desoto lines in 1951.

Dodge owns the fastest truck ever. Not Hemi Powered but Viper powered instead. The following is from Pickuptrucks .com

While a V-10 engine in a work truck was not unheard of, Dodge created the ultimate performance pickup by adding the 505-cubic-inch, 500-horsepower V-10 straight out of the Viper. Initially offered only as a regular cab with a Hurst-shifted six-speed manual transmission, Pirelli tires on 22-inch rims and a lowered suspension with Bilstein shocks kept it planted. Zero-to-60 times in the 5-second range were enhanced by a 4.56:1 axle ratio, but aerodynamic enhancements helped the Ram SRT10 set a Guinness World Record for the fastest production pickup truck at 154.587 mph. For those who actually wanted to use it for work, a Quad Cab model followed with a heavy-duty automatic rated for towing 8,150 pounds.

And then theres the Challenger HELLCAT. The folloing from "Auto Cheat Sheet .com"

Challenger SRT Hellcat
The new kid on the block is also the most formidable. The Challenger Hellcat — perhaps the most aptly named vehicle ever — has quickly made a name for itself as the fastest production muscle car of all time. The Hellcat purrs out a hearty 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, which allows it to spring to 60 miles per hour in around 3.5 seconds on its way to an overall top speed of 199 miles per hour, putting it in a class with other supercars from Ferrari and Lamborghini. The quarter-mile can also be done in a relative snap, as the Hellcat can get it done in a scant 11.2 seconds. Of course, it does burn through gas at a rate of 1.5 gallons per minute, so don’t plan on commuting with this beast.

Ford engineers took the Cobra chassis and widened it by 5 inches to accept the 427. They put coil springs all around for better handling the gave Shelby a potent 427 to put in the car.

The fastest isn't even on the list but maybe because there were only two built. The Cobra Supersnake with a twin supercharged 427! One was Carroll Shelby's personal car and the other was sold to a famous commedian who has alledgededly made some bad decisions over his career reguarding the drinks he serves women.

Oh and it seems he also made a bad decision reguarding the Supersnake too. From what I have read he drove it once and it scared him so bad returned it and got his money back and if I remember correctly the remaining Supersnake was sold at auction several years ago for over 5 million dollars.

The Cobra was a "SHELBY" powered by a FORD engine. The first actual all ford in that list was at 18 so the list is still correct. Don't get me wrong guys. I do like some FORD'S, my favorite being a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang but, I'm a MOPAR guy at heart so kinda biased.
