I studied this stuff a long time ago.
By analyzing seeds, plant remains, and fossilized vegetable matter obtained from core samples, and organic remains buried under glaciers, volcanic dust, and bottom of lakes and sea beds, scientists can extrapolate the climatic conditions required to sustain their growth at the time.

The story was actually about someone who looked at the raw data, 60 years of it, before the numbers were manipulated, and they were manipulated. The culprits, US government’s Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN) Goddard Institute for Space Studies (Giss) and the National Climate Data Center (NCDC), which use the warming trends to estimate temperatures across the vast regions of the Earth where no measurements are taken. Where no measurements are taken, guesstimations, governments solid data. Yet these are the very records on which scientists and politicians rely for their belief in “global warming”. Forbes would never publish something, even though it is opinion, that accuses a government agency of lying unless the contributor produces cold, hard facts to substantiate his article. They don't have license to lie, unlike politicians like Al Gore. They would never want to be embarassed in the literary community and this article was never retracted. I understand facts don't matter because feelings mean everything. And the government would never lie to you but like I said unicorns, tooth fairies and other fantasies are true if you believe them. As a side note do you know AL Gore before the hoax was worth around 5-7 million dollars, a large part of that from his father's inheritance AL Gore Sr. who was one of the few members of Congress to vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1964,but I digress, after the hoax he's up around $300 million and the 4th wealthiest person in Tennessee.
