I picked up a Kershaw Tanto (http://kershaw.kaiusaltd.com/knives/knife/blur-tanto) with serrated blade several months back... and LOVE this knife!! So thought I'd share.

The blade is spring actuated and opens very quickly, very easily, yet stiff enough that it will never open accidentally in your pocket. The handle is embossed with some sort of rough hard rubber that works great to maintain grip even when your hands are wet.

Small enough to easily clip and carry everyday, but large enough to still be a versatile cutting tool. The blade comes RAZOR sharp from Kershaw; it will cut you by just placing your finger on it. The serrations do wonders at cutting difficult to cut stuff like rope.

Let's hope she won't let you play with firearms either!

benchmade auto presidio tanto11977, auto part broke after a couple of weeks, just as well, not really legal for civilians, better for me and my ccw permit. Carry it everyday.

It's Benchmade for me too, choptop. I have a couple of "Griptilian's" that I like a lot that are part of my EDC.

Wife bought me a Carson M-16 from CRKT before my deployment in 2001....That thing was my EDC for 13 years through two more deployments. It was rock solid. I didnt replace the belt clip like I should have and lost it last year. Since then bought another Carson design, the M4 and its ok but my new EDC is a Ken Onion design from CRKT.

I'm not that familiar with spring knives or autos, which I guess is why I'm so amazed at how fast these styles can be opened.

At the 5 second mark she shows the knife; at the 5.1 second mark the knife is open :icon_biggrin:
