Alot of us guy,s ask about windshields!! what you got , what works good an so forth.
I would like to see Pic,s of the different shields on the bike. That would help us all so much. I know we can go to the different vender,s an see pic,s. But I believe alot of us would get a better idle of what we want if we could see the shield on the bike.
Maybe a Pic an How tall the rider is.

Madstad 11" clear. I'm 5'10. Design of the M/S allows you to use a shorter shield to achieve results of other brands that are taller. I like it best, and I've tried a half dozen.

I have a Honda Tall shield that is a POS..... bought it for $25 so I could install it and go down the road and "MARK" where I wanted my next shields height to be.... I will mail it to anyone who wants to do the same thing...your only obligation is to send it on if someone requests to use it for the same thing.....

There's a TON of pics already uploaded to this site. If you try the search bar in the upper right of the forum screen you should find a lot of them.

Here's a link to pics I posted of my Windbender shield. I have tried many others but I like this one the best.

I look just over this shield..I have it set as low as possible,it could go up about an inch maybe.if I slouch I start looking thru and it seems to have just a slight bit of distortion at the very top so it does kind of help me maintain my posture while riding..I will have to get some pics this afternoon to post for you

I'm 5'8". The Baggershield flip shield works well for me. During nice weather, I ride with just the shorter dark tinted portion and I see well over the screen. With colder or wetter weather, I'll use the additional clear portion to extend the protection, but I look through this portion.

Use to have the BS flip up, but now I use a Clearview Tall Sport with a vent. Sitting straight up in the saddle I see very well over the top.

BACA: How do you like the Windbender on the F6B? I had the HPS version on my 2003 GL1800 and LOVED it! When I recently bought my F6B, I decided to give the 11 inch Baggershield a try (got good reviews on this site from riders who were my height -- 5'9"). I like the clean look of the dark-tinted Baggershield, but am still getting way too much wind and buffeting when riding at Interstate speeds.

I ordered the Windbender HPS last week and am waiting for it to arrive so I can give it a try.

Is yours the Dark Tint base and the Medium tint upper? That's what I ordered, and I like how it looks on your bike (if that's what you have).

So my 11 inch dark tinted Baggershield will be for sale if anyone is in the market. Note that I ordered the one without the clear extension piece (wanted to keep a clean look and HATE looking through a windsheld). If anyone is interested in a great price on an 11 inch Baggershield, please PM me and we'll work it out.

This is a 14" Klock werks dark shield. I'm 5'10" and easily look over the top of it. The wind hits me right at the top of my helmet. With it I can hear the radio great at half volume going 80. I really like it and works great for me.

Cee Bailey 13 inch clear with vent

Hi Doug,
I'm kinda looking at the Cee Bailey Curious, your height and any reason you got clear? are there situations when you need to look through? Finally, are you glad you got the vent? Thanks, very much!

BTW, the reason I ask about tint is that I think the red bike would look great with the dark tinted shield

I got a takeoff from a goldwing and I love it. I can see through it (I'm 5'10") and it didn't cost too much. :) Excuse the bug who left his guts behind.

Cee Bailey 13 inch clear. Was going to try Clearview recurve to eliminate some of the buffeting, but after the lowered Mustang seat, that problem was solved. I like the clear, much better to spot hazards.

I also use the Windbender 11 inch HPS (and love it!). I'm at work and don't have a photo handy, though... Question for Baca: Did you have to modify the base of your Windbender to get it to mount so low? I think I received the wrong version from Firecracker... I had to drill my own holes to get it set right.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner........Mine fit perfectly from the start. Actually my Windbender is the prototype for all the F6B Windbenders. When I went to pick up my bike (Feb of 2013), I contacted Quickdraw (Firecreek) and he said he needed an F6B so he could make the bottom portion of the windshield for the Windbender.........naturally I volunteered and to make a long story short........I have the prototype of the ones he sells now, so I guess I can't answer your question accurately because my bottom portion was a trial and error type fit. But when I left the shop on the final day of work on my windshield, the holes were lined up with the factory holes so no modifications were necessary. The only difference was the mounting holes on the bike were permanent unlike the GL model which are mounted into adjustable brackets.

Hope this helps and again sorry for not getting back to you sooner.........I was on vacation........at the beach......in Hawaii........wish I would have had the F6 with me.

Ride Safe!!

Here are some pics with the windshield on in Quickdraw's shop. The first one is the stock windshield and the other is the Windbender base. Hope this helps.........and Yes I really like the Windbender and would purchase again. And Yes mine is the Dark Tint......both the upper and lower.......
