I stumbled across these and thought I'd post in case others weren't aware.

I've been thinking for a while about getting some aux lighting to brighten up night rides. I like the fog lights but I think I'd get more light on the road, and thrown further down it, if the lights were mounted up higher.

These fit that bill. A couple of D2's from Rigid Industries (http://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting/50231) will throw twice as much light as an HID system and about four times as much as a halogen system.

Anyone try these SoCal GL18BR's yet?

They are supposed to work in conjunction with hand wings. You can mount lights above or below the bracket (including 4" lights).

This bracket could also get around local laws which require auxiliary lights to not be higher than the headlights.

Just my opinion - me no likely, looks like Bakers wings would be competing for location. Look more like an add on. Just my thoughts.

Instead of lights, I like those to install a pair of speaker bullets with an independent amplifier.....
