I had to cancel my ride in appointment yesterday because of rain up in Lake Shasta, Redding area. Now I will have to wait until June 9th. I guess patients is a virtue. Nice seat. F6Brider, bigotry, and photodiver all have Daylong seats and they love them.

You made of sugar? I've ridden the F6 in few rainstorms where I didn't even get wet, as long as I was moving. I know you hated missing that appointment though. Looked at your avatar or whatever that pic is called. This part of Route 66 is just a few miles from my home. Nearby is am original concrete section, abandoned also, where people have taken concrete saws and cut out souvenirs. Oh, and nice looking seat stepbill. (non-hijack content)

I knew I was going to get some grief from this post. The boss said no way since I totaled my VTX in September and almost missed my 42nd wedding anniversary trip to Maui. Honestly I've ridden in rain, hail, snow and 50 mph crosswinds. But a man doesn't stay married that long by pissing off the boss. By the way the pic was taken last Saturday at the start of the Oatman Highway just south of Kingman. I've been on that stretch of RTE 66 several times. We were on our way back from the Road Kill Cafe in Seligman. Great ride!!!!

Does the Russell seat have the same issues as the Corbin and Mustang seats seem to have when it comes to removing the seat each time to get the side covers off??? No big deal as I currently have the Mustang which works fine for me, but I have not seen this question/issue with Ultimate seats and RDL seats......

No because they build it on the stock pan from your bike.As the photos show how the seat rides along the side panels plenty of room to remove the panels with seat on.

It's really , really nice . I love everything about it . Now my dilemma would be to make a choice between Russel and Ultimate . Any thoughts ?

What is the cost difference selecting Ultimate ,Corbin , mustang ... vs RDL seat ?
Or is there no price limit for comfort ?

Without looking at exact price, the mustang is the least expensive, the others about the same, but if you go adding backrests to the corbin and ultimate, they run in the neighborhood of 850 to 900. I've had all but the Russell on the F6, tho Russell on other bikes, and can tell you they are all great quality, you just have to find which one fits your butt!

The Ultimate is a beautiful looking seat and I had it on my Honda VTX 1300R. For me it was comfortable around town but if I rode long distance, then my butt bothered me like the stock seat did. I purchased a Russell Day-Long to replace the Ultimate and for me, it was a big difference. The seat is not cheap but for me it is well worth it. It is probably the more expensive seat out of the three but to me it is worth the money. I went with the vinyl outer portion and the darker brown part is leather. I treat it with a bee's wax from Skidmore's. Love their products!

You did good Bill; it's probably one of the best looking seats available.
