I didn't think the f6 could get any better then today while I was washing it admiring how black she is I thought I'd see how she felt with a little pre-load...DAMN!! She feels like she's on rails now...I figured it would make some difference but WOW !!! is all I can say....

Yes! Many of us cranked it to the halfway mark.

If you want it even better, add a fork brace!

Agreed, half way and a fork brace is perfect for me.:yes:

Hmm. I'll have to try playing with this.

I have mine set on "Cadillac Ride" :icon_biggrin:

Ditto.
That's my setup.
Very locomotive-like.

Ok, can someone share how to do this and what the real differences are?

That's the Left side as you look at the bike head on, not as you sit on the bike....my manual was "less-than-clear" on that topic and the picture seemed off as well.

Right side :icon_biggrin:

Left and right should always be from the perspective of sitting in\on the vehicle.

Pre-loading the rear shock adjusts how much the rear wheel deflects when riding over road irregularities. The different amounts of deflection affects both performance and comfort. You may also want to consider increasing pre-load when riding two-up to take some of the "springy-ness" out of the ride.

Until you pay for it----even the same product. Bought mine straight from SuperBrace---$225 shipped to my home because they are a prefered vendor.

Then I found WingStuff sells the SuperBrace for $189 with free shipping--also a prefered vendor. :icon_doh: Yep--$35 difference for the same product--both prefered vendors.

Great product! And yes--it does make a difference!
