I sold My 2006 Goldwing with about $4,000.00 extra's I put on my beloved Wing. After 10 years and 116,000 K's. I purchased a Suzuki C50T fully dressed. Well that lasted 3 month's, I missed the power and performance of that great 1800cc.
I am now waiting for the 2016 Pear White & Black F6b.
Extra's I will purchase are -F4 16" Tinted with vent / Utopia Drivers backrest / Drivers Floorboards heel & toe / Ergo III cruise mount / Iso - grip Set and a few more little things like Rust Free mount seat bolts.

I'm coming from the Harley family. That's all I've had for my post military adult life. A few problems with them but never anything serious. My last one, 2011 CVO Ultra Classic was the best I ever had. Sold it in Aug/Sept. Then I saw the F6B and knew it was a bike I was going to have to have. Signed the papers a few weeks ago and am now waiting for the chemicals to wash off the roads. I'm done searching for the right pipes, performance mods, and various noises so I can really enjoy the ride. Everything about this bike just fits me, except for the stock windshield. That's been replaced by the tall Honda shield, again the perfect height. I got the pearl yellow. I don't expect to see too many of that color around.

I traded in 07 Goldwing and then I enjoyed the new F6B so much that 3 months later I sold my 1997 Valkyrie because I no longer rode it. For years I had kept both a Valkyrie and a Goldwing because neither bike was quite perfect for me. The F6B made 2 bikes unnecesary

Thank you! I've been waiting for a F6B in white. This one had just showed up at the dealer, and was still in the crate when I bought her.

Now I just have to figure out how to clean and maintain the matte finish properly.

As for the cleaning, they told me at the honda dealership that the Honda spray can be used on it. I have actually used it all the time on my 07 venture....it always kept it looking nice and almost 9 years later the paint was like showroom condition. I plan on using it for my F6B. Ask at your honda dealership and see if you get the same answer I did....please let me know.

F6B Riders .....

What Motorcycle did you trade, retired or sold to acquire a NEW F6B ?

I have seen several posts from Riders that are coming from another Brand of motorcycle. Just curious where everyone is coming from.

I put lots of research and thought before giving her up, and I have zero regards. The superior handling in the turns is amazing for a large bike of this size. I also don't want to give up on the major amount of torque and power the VTX1800 had, but again this F6B answered in a big way for exactly what I was seeking without giving up performance! Already a 1000 miles after only having the new red F6B for 3 weeks.

Hello Everyone,
Picked up my 2015 F6B 2 weeks ago. Luvin' the ride.
Long story short...traded a 2011 Road Glide Ultra for a 2005 Gold Wing with a brand new Motor Trike Razor kit on it...no miles on the kit...56K on the trike. Had a Can Am RT Limited in the garage also that my Wife was going to take over. We were at the dealer getting a new battery for te cSpydwer...she spots the F6B. Some guy had traded a Victory Vision for the F6B...didn't like the ride...traded back. Right place ...right time with spousal agreement..Bike came home a few days later. Now she is taking the Trike...when she is not riding with me.

Hi all,

I am a new F6B owner from NZ and just sold my BMW S1000RR for my new F6B. I am amazed how refined and easy to ride this new bike is. Just done a nice 500k round trip over the weekend and I now understand why people love their Goldwings.

Brand new to both Honda and this forum. I didn't get rid of my last bike, but I did add the 2016 F6B to my roster. I have a BMW K1600GTL as well. I love the way the F6B looks and rides, but wish it had Bluetooth. Well, I digress! Looking forward to many great miles on this great F6B.

Heard the F6b was made to attract the younger riders but not so in my case. Mid 50's and have been riding a 2008 Gl1800 for the last 6 years. Before that rode Harley Road Glide, Yamaha Road Star and started with the classic Yamaha Virago 1986. Primary attraction was keeping the great performance of thr Wing but skinning down the size. Always begged to be able to drop my junk in the trunk and now I have!
On Tuesday I rode my 08 wing from PCB, fl to Melborne Fl, (435 miles), did paper work and hit the road back to PCB on my F6B. Total of 935 miles. And the last half was wonder ful minus the crappy stock windshield. All good now!
Any advice on drivers backrest and rear rack would be helpful.
See you on the road,

Coming from a 2005 Honda RC51. Doing the big change. The biggest challenge is the weight of the bike and the difference in turning in a curve. I am enjoying it a lot and I can see how this bike has a big following.

Can't lie, I have tried riding it like the RC51 and it is possible - not ready to drag a knee but I definitely want to go to the Tail of the Dragon.

Well a couple years ago I built a Bagger out of a roadstar 1700 to make it my long distance touring bike. I really loved the bike, it was definitely bad ass, but the vibration was just too much for me to really enjoy doing 2500 - 3000 miles in a weeks time consistently every year. Plus I hated the really crappy turning radius. So I bought a Kawasaki Concours C14 to make it into my long distance bike and kept my roadstar for shorter trips. It was a really great bike also but even after adding pull back risers I was still looking for a bit more comfort and missed having a radio with tunes.

So, I rode a 2015 Road Glide and really liked it a lot. Still had the vtwin rumble around town but because the motor was rubber mounted it didn't vibrate much on the highway at all. I almost bought this bike, and I would have been happy on it, but I really wanted to ride a F6B before I decided on something. I waited about 6 months and finally had an opportunity to ride the F6B, well that was the hook line and sinker!!! Traded in the Concours 14 that day on the B. Drove the B an hour in the freezing cold and had the biggest smile on my face ever by the time I made it home.

After that first ride on the new B, I knew I would never take my roadstar on another trip again (which is what I built it for) so I sold it to a guy that is taking really good care of it. As much as I love my B for the long stretches and country riding I still missed that vtwin rumble around town, so I bought another roadstar 1600 a couple weeks ago just to have around town when I'm not riding the B. I've had a lot of bikes but the F6B is definitely my favorite so far. These are the bikes I've owned in the last 11 or 12 years.

Hello All,

My name is Rod and I'm new to the forum. Just thought I would introduce myself.

I live on Vancouver Island and have been riding motorcycles all my life. Bought my first one on my 16th birthday and never looked back... and I'm mid 40's now. I currently ride a Triumph Scrambler which I recently rode from New York State to Kentucky, across to the Grand Canyon and up back into British Columbia. I don't think I'll ever sell that bike... but am looking for something that my wife is willing to hop on for short jaunts... and which is powerful and comfortable and not a Harley :)

I'm one inch away from pulling the trigger on a new 2014 F6B at my local dealership. Signed up just to browse the forum and see what you all have to say about the bike.

Thanks for having me here and I may soon be a new owner.

All the best,

Redinoliver had a nice bike! I'm sorry that he sold it, but glad that copper is happy with it!
Mark - yes, there are a few of us who couldn't part with our V-Twins...Two distinctly different bikes with different missions.
Draeger - there are several bikes in the 4 sale section that have been meticulously maintained if your local guy turns on you. Give them a look!

And as always - please check your final drive fluid levels!

At least that would seem to answer the question when many of us newer F6B riders look back and compare previous rides!

I will be selling my 03 Goldwing now that I have the F6B. I have owned Valk's for years still have two. As many other Valk owners had hoped the new Valkyrie would give us an opportunity to up grade. However, I did not care for the looks of it. The F6B is more like what I had hoped the new Valkyrie would have looked like.

F6B Riders .....

What Motorcycle did you trade, retired or sold to acquire a NEW F6B ?

I have seen several posts from Riders that are coming from another Brand of motorcycle. Just curious where everyone is coming from.

I bought a 2014 Honda F6C Valkyrie before my F6B with the idea to make it a tilting motor works bike / full lean trike - two wheels in the front. BUT after I got a great deal on the F6C some geeky engineer informed me they couldn't or wouldn't convert the Valkyrie so I bought my current 2015 F6B Deluxe to convert at a later time. The 2014 Valkyrie fell victim to a careless dump truck operator who backed over it in the wee hours of a dark morning.

Still own a 2015 Indian Scout - 500 lbs of go faster that has been tricked out and customized to my liking however it is too light for a serious ride with highways or high winds.

Rod,
The best thing about F6B's in Canada is that they come with ABS. The price, once the current exchange is factored in, makes them as cheap here as they are in the US. The warranty is the same too.
I've got a 2013 that I bought last year. I went from a Harley to this and I will not go back. My new neighbour who has seen me ride both bikes now, approached me and asked if the F6B was electric as it was so quiet in comparison to the Harley. I won't lie, a little tear formed up as I love the thumping sound of the Harley. My mates who I ride with are happier with the change because now they don't have to worry about going deaf when I take the lead. My wife wouldn't ride on the Harley. Now she wants me to get a tour pack/back rest so she can ride with me on the F6B. Great bike, you won't be disappointed should you buy one. Welcome to the forum. Loads of helpful stuff here. I've learned a lot and it's made my experience with the bike all the better.

G.

When in my teens, a friends father had a 750 four. Not sure of the year, but remember I use to drool every time I saw that bike. In the mid 80's bought a '81 CB 900f Super Sport. Totally stock & unmolested, what a beast of a bike ; had enough sense to get rid of it, had visions of me meeting my demise on that one.
Traded an NT 700v & VFR 1200f DCT to get the F6B. Both NT & VFR were great bikes and perfect for their intended design purpose, but I'm really loving this "B" !

I unloaded a 2014 CVO that I called a crack bike that couldn't pass a dealer without stopping for a fix! Every fix also included arguing with dealers to get a warranty fix. The dealers first step is to blame the owner and claim its not covered as it was not properly maintained even if it was maintained at a dealer 7 days earlier. Harley called it Maroon I called it Lemon red.

Love the F6B
2 road trips no issues great rides

Best response from a harley rider. "you were flying thru the twisties I couldn't catch you."
Best response to a harley rider. "I was not even trying to go fast."

After almost three years of fixing up a nice Yamaha Raider S...

...decided to go a completely different route... and picked up a 2016 Deluxe with 0 miles on the clock. Rode it home yesterday from Salem, OR (to Olympia, WA).... what a nice ride!!

Let the "Project" begin!! (Had dealer install the Klock Werks 14" dark smoke windshield.)

And "No..." that isn't a leak under the scoot... I think it is what is left from a Carmel Macchiatto (SB parking lot - go figure!)

Tim here,
I'm outside of DC in the MD burbs.
I left my beloved Triumph Thunderbird LT for the B as parts & service for the Bird were becoming more & more challenging.
Over 50yrs or so I've had Yamaha(hahaha)'s 100, 200, 350 & several 650's. Also a Jawa 350, Vulcan classic and a crazy fun Triumph Bonneville.
I do a lot of riding around VA, NC, GA, WV & TN & crave twisties. Never thought I'd wind up with a bike like my B but I have to admit I ain't looking back! Love this forum, it has been enormously helpful, many thanks.
Be well.

Coming from Hamilton, ON Canada.

First bike was a Suzuki Volusia 800cc, then a Suzi Katana 750, traded the Volusia to a C90 when I started dating my wife to be. Traded both the Kat and the C90 for a blue and silver 2000 Valkyrie Interstate which had 88K kms (55K miles) on it....rode it another 130K kms (80K miles) until I traded for the F6B. I didn't think there would be anything as good as the Valkyrie....but then Honda made the F6B...and am LOVIN' IT!!! :icon_lol:

The F6B is an "in addition to" kind of bike.

It will share the garage bay with a 2013 Harley-Davidson Road King CVO that we tour on and a 2003 BMW R1100S Boxer Cup Replika that has been my daily driver since a Ford SUV totaled my 1998 CBR1100XX in 2010.

I have a 2007 Harley Electra Glide that I have put 70,000 miles on and just keep having to put it in the shop because it is considered a high mileage bike now. I remembered sitting on a F6B when they first came out and told my boyfriend at the time that I would get one someday. Fast forward 60,000 of those miles, boyfriend gone, need something dependable, bought a 2013 B with 12,000 miles on it. Ready to ride another 70,000 miles and find a new boyfriend lol. May get rid of the Harley too

My first ride was a 1973 Triumph Hurricane. Rode it for 20+ years.
My buddy in Jacksonville FL has it now. So I can still ride it when down there.
Have to say, had I the mind to ride cursers, I would have settled on a Wing a long time ago.
Ive had everything else till this year.
At 65, I decided my last ride would be in luxury.
Wife doesn't ride with me any longer, so longer cross country trips are in order.
Check one more off the bucket list.

I have a ST1300 which I put 100,000 miles on and wanted to try something else. I was looking at Wings but when I saw my F6B I had to have it. I've only rode it a few months but I'm very happy with it. I ride about 10-12k a year so she should last me a long time. My wife and I do a few road trips each year, sometimes pulling a trailer and I commute daily on the bike when it's not winter. The F6B does all this very well.

I think that’s a nice move. I did the same thing. Loved the M109, but this bike fit the riding I love to do. Long trips, meet others, and ride all day without issue. Don’t get me wrong, no matter what bike I’ve had, I always met pretty much friends for life.

I had a 2017 Indian Scout and a 1998 Valkyrie when I found my F6B on Craigslist. I talked with the owner on the phone and when we struck a deal I towed my trailer 7 hours down to Los Angeles and picked up the F6B. After I got the F6B home I made one 3 hour ride up in the foothills and immediately listed my Valkyrie for sale on Craigslist. I loved the Valkyrie, but the F6B was everything that the Valk was plus so much more. The Valk sold immediately and while I still have the Scout I'm seriously thinking of listing it because every time I decide to go riding I want to take the F6B and have to convince myself to occasionally take the Scout out just to keep the battery charged.

So happy to be riding again with my buddies, and feeling the air in my face.

Gone make it out to your neck of the woods again one of these days, heck maybe we might meet at some halfway point rally?

Well nice to know I'm not losing it, not yet! Nice to have you back. I bet it would be hard for me to give up riding as long as I know I'm capable like you found out. So if you get this way you absolutely need to let me know. I will be in Billings with the Valkyrie group in June, InZane 2022. A 2 week trip I'm looking forward to. Riding up with a couple others from FL. Coming up in 2 weeks the wife and I will be out in Napa. We went about 3-4 years ago and really enjoyed it. We've invited our daughter from Raleigh, NC so her and her boyfriend will be meeting us there. Staying at the same place we stayed before. Really liked it, Meritage Resort and Spa. Wife's a teacher and it is her Spring Break. Enjoy the ride bud!
