Actually that should read "He is Risen" the past tense is never used when it comes to the Christ. He is the Living God, always spoken of in the present tense. Made that mistake in Catechism class when I was a kid and after the Sisters of Sparkill made me write it 100 times I never forgot,, I've got scars.
