$21500 sticker - $500 Honda cash - $1200 - throw in a rear OEM luggage rack. OTD $19800 with a rack and $5000 trade in.

That's for a 2015 F6B deluxe in matte silver.

Here is my trade.

Russellville Honda has the best prices I've found (http://www.hondaofrussellville.com/). They will give you a great out the door quote without any BS. Use that price to motivate your local dealer. If they won't come down, do a fly-n-ride. They will even pick you up from the airport. I believe the out the door price on a '15 Deluxe with incentives is only about $18,000. I doubt you'll beat that anywhere.

They quoted the rack at $450 parts and labor.

Cheesy is right about HOR. I just couldn't get the trade value and travels costs to AR made my deal about the same.

My honda dealer was $500 better than everyone on my trade.

I sure hope pricing is kinder to you than it was for people who paid retail in '13 and '14; 6 months after we bought we saw prices for brand NEW bikes going for $4,000 or $5,000 cheaper.

Go with the rectangular lights not the round Honda lights !!! Honda has them on the shelf !!!

That's GOLD right there... don't let them stiff you with the old circular lights.

I just learned that I have arthritis in my right knee. And trust me it's really difficult to push back the bike considering I'm only 5'5. I don't want to goto Vtwin engine and like the looks of F6 better than gold-wing. Europe and Australia get to have reverse, I don't understand y Honda does not introduce it here in US.

I don't get that either Wantone; it'd be nice if they brought that feature to North America.

Did you get your bike yet??..Just curious if the title deal is done...Good price for the bike..I paid about the same sale price plus a custom paint job that cost another $2,000 for my 2013 in September of 2013...Love the F6B as it is a great bike.....

Final drive ratio is about 3:1... how about getting a ring & pinion that drops this to about 2.5:1... perfect, done :icon_biggrin:

This would also take the edge off of the extremely tall 1st gear.

Btw, there's no guarantee that mileage would improve... probably yes, but potentially no. Looking at the BSFC chart would help to answer this.

And give them the price Russellville quoted me 17999 OTD not including the Ca. tax and license Ill be req. to pay upon registration..I checked Ca. DMV calulator and tax and lic total 1550...So my totall would be 19550 after I pay the tax and lic here...Roseville said total w tax and license is 22250 and said "ive dealt with Russellville and theres no way they can do that"....Looks like the flight for myself and my gf will run. 600...Cant believe Ca. Wont match out of state prices...any suggestions other than offering Roseville the cost to fly and ride?

How about trying another dealer, maybe one in Sacramento?

I would say try finding another one locally... but Honda dealers in an area sometimes have agreements with each other; they share and swap inventory and, who knows, maybe they agree on bottom dollar pricing too.

Call LA Cyclesports and ask for an OTD price. They are in Inglewood, just North of LAX off of the 405. You will have a nice ride home up the coast.

LA CycleSports (http://www.lacyclesports.com/)

FWIW, I had to ride 400 miles to get a descent price/deal on mine.

My recommendation would be to figure out how much it is worth to you to avoid the hassle and expense of buying in Arkansas. Then, go to all of your local dealers and give them a "take it or leave it" price. Make sure they know you're ready to buy immediately. I hate negotiating and I found this method a very low stress way to get a great price.

For me, avoiding the hassle of going to Arkansas was worth $500. At the time I bought my F6B, a Standard at Russellville was $17150. I offered my dealer $17650. Unfortunately, my dealer didn't have a Standard in stock yet, but had a Deluxe. So, I offered $18650, not realizing at the time that a Deluxe at Russelleville wasn't a full $1000 more than the Standard. Oh well, in spite of my error, I think I got a pretty good deal. And, I wanted the heated grips and center stand anyways, so getting the Deluxe saved the trouble of installation.

Good luck. It's a great bike regardless of discount!

Cheesy...I was guessing the 1885 mile ride from Ark. To Ca. would cost about a grand and after the sale price and Calif. Tax and license would cost 19550 and with travel costs at 1000 I would be into it for 20550..The dealer here said he wont consider anything under 22500 OTD...So Im trying to look at the positives about buying at Russellville and the main thing is price and I get a cool trip cross country with my Gf ...Anyways not in stone yet but I do appreciate your time and suggestions

I would not say you're over thinking it... it's a tough choice.

Personally I bought mine locally to establish a dealer relationship, and glad I did in light of my recent transmission mishap.

In my relatively short experiences of shopping for motorcycles I have come to realize that a motorcycle dealership and a car dealership operate on opposite sides of the universe. The car dealerships do everything to keep you on that lot, not leaving until you have bought a new car. Motorcycle stores seem just the opposite. You don't want to buy, don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. That's several HD, Honda and multi-stable dealerships. Now that's an extreme insight but I believe that most motorcycle dealerships have tight margins and cannot afford to be low balled. Except for HOR which is a volume dealer. They move 2 wheelers and when you call them on the phone they are proud of it. I was a coin flip for HOR or my local Northside Honda. The monies were fairly close with local and HOR. I just couldn't get the trade in at HOR that the local did.

Now what my local dealership did was take more money off and throw in a nice accessory when I just simply stated......."if we can get some more money off I will sign the papers today". That seemed to be the ticket and the salesman walked into the managers office and had another $1200 off plus the OEM rack behind the backrest installed. If they can't take more money off, then they can't take more money off. Be cordial and walk.

Good luck and to me it appears HOR is winning and how can you not be smoking rev'd to criss cross America on a new F6B? That's money right there. If you swing south towards Houston I'll buy you dinner.

Good luck.

How do you like the anniversary paint scheme?
Is it harder to clean than std. paint with clear coat? Like cleaning bugs off or whatever?
Isn't the only other color available on the 2015 the Blue Metallic?

stroguy
04-27-2015, 12:23 PM
Doesn't seem anymore bothersome than regular paint. Key to bugs is get em off early. Love bugs will etch your clearcoat. I have an old 88 Camaro that's testament to that. Don't know if the blue is metallic but it didn't peak my interest. Dealer had both and I gravitated to the metallic silver. I expressly use Original Bike Spirits, diluted baby shampoo in a spray bottle and microfibers.

I applied a product called Opti-Coat 2.0 on my paint which is essentially a DIY clearcoat. It's invisible when you apply it and acts as a sacrificial layer over your paint and factory clearcoat (if these bikes have that).

Once or twice a year I'll give my bike a full detail including machine buffing with either a polishing pad or a very light cutting pad. The cutting pad is only used for things like bugs or water spots that have etched into the surface... but with the layer of Opti-Coat, I feel better knowing that the etching has *hopefully* only occurred into this layer and the factory paint is still perfect and untouched beneath it.

Matte and satin paints are new to me though; I'm wondering if the current products that we all use would be fine to use on it...?

Matte is not just paint and left for dead.

There are 'clear coats' of all types. The matte finish on my bike is treated exactly as the gloss coat finish on my Charger.

Matte finish can be waxed without fear of instilling a high gloss shine.....itaintnot gonna happen.

I called HOR as well and had put my $500 down on a 2015 Matte Silver deluxe only to find out that they don't do drafts from your bank, you must pay cash or cashiers check or money order no drafting from your bank. So I went to Bob Lunsford as well and traded my 2014 street glide in on a 2015 Matte Silver standard. I gave them the price that HOR was selling for and they went down to $18499 plus ttl. I drove out for $19 and some change.
