A buddy and me are extending our Colorado trip this year and going up to the Black Hills for a few days before we head back down to Creede, CO... What are the MUST SEE things to do/see up there? We'll be heading out EARLY June 9th and plan on being in Rapid City that night, then have 2 days to mess around before heading out...

Thanks!

You sure won't have a problem spending 2 days south of Rapid City in the Mt. Rushmore area...

take US 16 south from Rapid City about 22 miles to Keystone (on US 16A) and Mount Rushmore NM....gotta see Mt. Rushmore...then from Keystone..

follow Hwy 244 west to US 385, turn south on 385 to Crazy Horse NM...then south on 385 to Custer City...

from Custer City ride to Pringle, then SE to Wind Cave NP :yes:and south to Hot Springs..

from Hot Springs..west on US 18 to Hwy 89 and north back to Pringle...take US 385 again, east to Hwy 87, turn north on 87 and go about 32 miles to Hill City....

from Hill City follow US 385 north to Deadwood and Lead area.....then 15 miles east to Sturgis and the Motorcycle museum:yes: and all the rally locations and stores.... then 28 miles south back to Rapid City....

Other areas/places if time permits,.....Jewel Cave NM about 20-25 miles west of Custer City on US 16....and Devil's Tower NM about 25 miles NW of Sundance, WY on Interstate 90

lots of very scenic, curvy mountain (2 lane) roads throughout the entire area.....good time to visit in June

Yes and just don't get tired of it. My Daughter lives in Rapid City (best excuse to go to the Hills often)

Was in Rapid City last week while at Ellsworth AFB and took the drive to Crazy Horse before I left for the airport. Beautiful land. You should have a fun time there.
