Let's pick a spot to ride to and do a meet, greet and ride.
Who's in?

I do a lot of 300-500 mile day rides on two lane roads,so we would not be just going down an interstate to ride.
Maybe with several of us knowing areas to ride,we could combine some of the rides.
If no one wants to meet, that's ok too.:icon_biggrin:

Please count me in.
Not to many great riding roads in the Chicago area.

If you decide to come generally north along I-39 towards WI, I might try to meet you all for breakfast or lunch...

I busy this week with my son graduating from college this weekend.
I will get something put together for sometime in the next couple of weeks.
Can you guys ride on Thursdays or Fridays?
Is it just weekends that you ride?
Let me know and we can work this out.:icon_biggrin:

Db,
that probably could be doable once we get a small group together and talk out where people would like to ride.
I am not a drinker,so my rides are usually with a group of guys who do "lunch runs."
Great guys, but I would like to ride with other people.
I would be leaning toward riding to places known for great food.
Bars and grills are fine.

Count me in. I don't drink either but I do like to eat. Saturdays would be best for me.

Bowhunter,
we are up by you quite a bit on the way to Oregon or Byron.
Usually stop in Norway for gas.
Looks like I will have to get on this and map out some destinations.:icon_biggrin:

I was thinking that I would join you guys but I'm 4-5 hours away.

Jack,
not a big deal.
4-5 hours away is 2-2.5 hours away if we are headed toward each other!
We just need a point in between to meet up.:icon_biggrin:

Lake Geneva Wis might be in the middle.

There seems to be some interest in some rides,so let me see what I can come up with for "all direction" rides.
What I like to do is get people to give ideas of their favorite riding areas.
They may be bored with it,but those who have never been there may love it.
That way there is someone who has an idea of the area, back roads and where the good food is located.:icon_biggrin:

Poopy's in Savanna might be a nice ride. Could meet you in Ottawa or even Utica at one of the leather shops and ride up from there for lunch. FYI. We ride with Hambly434. I'm sure if you plan a ride we can get him away from his work for at least one day (very busy man). Might be able to get some Wisconsin and Iowa riders to meet there too.

Poopys would be great for a destination for the first meet up and ride.
I will pm you my phone number.
I can look into this Sunday.
Busy weekend.
My son is graduating college this weekend.
The more the merrier!

My wife said she is ready for the next ride.
Do you guys want to come South?

There is only one problem with Moonshine.
She stops cooking burgers at 12:30.
No exceptions.
You guys would have to get up pretty early to get down to my place and for us to make it by then.
It truly is a step back in time.

Let us know what day you're thinking on going. We are early risers so it shouldn't be a problem.

Just want to say thank you. It's been a rainy weekend here. Your discussion about meeting at Moonshine has brightened my day. Made a ride there in 2011 for the Moonshine Lumch Run. Just the mention of Moonshine outs a smile on my face.

Ok..
We can go this coming Saturday May 30th or Saturday June 6th.
This Saturdays forecast is not good.
Thunderstorms all day it says.
Of course later dates can be determined.
Just talking about near future pertaining to my wife's schedule.
I am going to plot out a course today for future reference.
