I've been riding with some Harley Street Glides a lot lately, and I must admit, those suckers look NIIIICE! The chrome was mesmerizing, and the large touch screen display along with the overall look of the dash had me wondering if I should make a trade. The throaty growl from the pipes and sweet factory paint jobs helped as well.

I decided to take a trip to a Victory dealership and a Harley dealer, and I must say those bikes are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I had no idea that I had such an affinity for chrome, beautiful paint jobs, and 20-21 inch wheels!!:yikes: I loved the look of the bikes so much, I took them out for test rides and.....

I LOVE MY F6B NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!!!!! Compared to the B, those bikes are SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! I only tried the 103 Harley's so I can't comment on a 110 CVO, but the Vics and the Harley's don't have that kick-in-the-pants acceleration that we all know and love! The handling... the power... the F6B is on another level. The Vics and Harley's are great to look at, but they don't have the ride experience that I've come to love, and the B has it in spades!!

3037 I have long spent my chrome boner when owned my ultra....however I absolutely LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the sound of a Harley....I ride with lots of them and I still love the looks and sound and would've bought a road glide until I saw an f6 while buying a part for my ultra.....but I agree as soon as I twist the wick and get that kick in the seat of my pants along with the tingle in the twins I forget all about that sound and concentrate on just hangin' on.Just wait till you wheelie it the first time...you'll say" Harley what?"

It was bound to happen to you.
Ride with Chromasexuals and Cromasexuality will get you sooner or later.
Since you don't ride a Harley,I bet they have not let you in on the "real" reason they put so much chrome on their bikes.
They won't just come out and tell non Harley riding people.
I happened to walk up on some of them discussing it and found out by accident.
It is because chrome to them is a mirror.
The more chrome they have, the more angles they can see themselves in their $1500 worth of leathers.

Most of the time I ride with 2 lungers. And most of them are Harleys. I ride with so many of them, that I am quite accustom to their repair needs too.:icon_rolleyes: They are some nice bikes, but mine is set apart. I chose the F6B because of function , not just form. Even though I do love the looks of the F6B, function, as you've realized, is also important.

My Valkyrie is my loud pipe bike. With 6 into 6 Cobra pipes, it puts out the growl and not just the "me too" potato potato cadence.:icon_wink:

If the TBR pipes evr become available, I think I'm a buyer. But who knows when that will happen.

Hey I gotta admit. I miss my roadglide alot. In fact more than I thought I would. This July I will have had the f6 for a year and I got 8400 on the ticker as of now. Not too bad for living in western PA and working 60+hrs a week. But damn I get on these kicks were I wanna trade the damn thing in on another roadglide then my wife smacks me in the head with a frying pan and I come back to reality LOL. she loves this f6 and she has been on the back of every bike I have owned 80% of the time. I understand the harley attraction I call it sex appeal and sorry guys I love my f6 but it just don't have the sex appeal of a harley But after all the problems I had with my roadglide in 1 damn year I could prob never get rid of this bike for another HD

Hey I resemble that remark !!!!! I am putting all the add ons on a spread sheet...wish I had not started....I have a problem !!!

The word of wisdom, shuttle touches add more to the look then going full out on chrome. Also saves you money and looks a heck of a lot better then a full blinged out bike. I learned that from an old detailer and the more I followed that advice the more I saw what he meant.

Sex appeal?

No matter what year Harley an owner has,it looks like every other Harley of that model ever produced from day one.
I have had a few Harleys in my day.
Still can't figure out why.
I never fed into the marketing hype.
Not once did I think they had sex appeal.
They look like someone went to a scrap yard and just put something together with miss matched parts.
There is no flow in style.
Then again, I have to do a reality check and realize the attraction to Harleys has absolutely nothing to do with the motorcycle itself.
It is about the image.
I have seen guys who wouldn't bust a grape in a wine factory, buy a Harley with all the leather, swing a leg over one and instantly think they are a total bad azz.
Then again this is just my opinion and opinions very.:icon_biggrin:

I respect your opinion. I gotta clear something up though. My sex appeal is the bike. Just my opinion they make the best looking v twin on the market. Do they look the same? Maybe in some people's eyes they do. But Honda yamaha and kaw all look similar also I never got into there marketing scheme the only harley shirt I own is the free one the dealer gave me when I bought the bike. I agree with you. People look stupid riding around paying to make themselves a harley billboard.

Brian, Got just the bike for you, my best friend has and 04 Screaming Eagle Deuce in excellent condition. Bike has windshield, backrest luggage rack, forward controls and a set of BG aftermarket pipes. Its fairly loud and I have known this bike since it was new. 2000 mile oil and filter changes all its life and a very high maintance program. Its as nice as anything on the showroom floor, and it has 28000 miles on it and runs like a top. The only problem is that its in Michigan and you would have to freight it or ride it home. This guy is one of those very meticulous people that cleans and does the service work on his equipment at a very high level. He is asking $12500.00 for it The color is the Blue and black color scheme.

When I look at the Harley and hear them ,I get it. No doubt they are chick magnets for those types that like it and that's all cool with me.BUT..my F6B looks better, will run longer,if I take it apart,it's because I want to to add something.
The story behind my bike is a Harley guy traded his Harley for it,rode it 2000 miles then traded it for another Harley....which afforded me a nice discount since the Harley shop didnt want it on their floor.
I have learned not to spend too much time on people's logic. All I can say is I'm happy,I hope he is and I will forever be thankful for his way of thinking...
BTW that is a nice Harley, like I said,I get it...

Thunderheader exhaust - no "potato-potato" here.

The sex appeal on a Harley occurs when your gal pal who has been getting 'fidgety' suddenly digs her nails into your sides and shrieks "That RPM, that gear! Hold it....HOLD IT! AUGHHhhha..ha....ha...!!!"

I had ten Harley's and added chrome wheels, forks, controls and just about everything in their parts catalog including big bore kits to most of them. I enjoyed my time in HOG but slowly drifted away as the membership churned. I am still lifelong friends with some of those folks. However, I finally came to the point that comfort and power became more important than chrome and cool and started riding Wings. My F6B is the best of the 19 motorcycles I have owned. I love to ride it and enjoy the minimal maintenance required. I still remember what the old Harley riders said when the new crowd started buying Harley's. Chrome wont get you home.... But it will like nice broke down on the side of the road.

My new plan is to get a bad ass stereo. When I pull up next to a Harley at the light I can rev my engine with Harley sounds through the stereo.

I still blast the throttle at every stop or light as I did when I had my Harley (I just love that sound)

But we all know our F6B wins all other categories.

My Boss just bought a 2015 Street Glide, I rode it......................It was terrible.
The suspension is so bad, I hit a small dip in the road and it bottomed out right to my lower back.
It's much slower than the B and I felt a lot of heat off the engine, the vibration at stop lights was just stupid.

I am glad I'm not a Harley guy.
They are pretty though.
Just not for me.

... the vibration at stop lights was just stupid ...

I figured out why HD designed the vibration in at stop lights. The vibration functions as a headlight modulator. It is a safety feature to increase visibility to cagers at intersections !!!
