Been looking for a cup holder for the Yellowstone trip. Ordered, or I thought so, the Kuryakyn stainless steel handle bar cup holder but I inadvertently ordered the passenger one that mounts to the front mount on the seat, I installed it on the left side and w/out taking my hand of of the throttle I could reach down, take a drink and put it back, nor bad and not cluttering up the handle bar.
But I kind of had a different vision in my head, o cup hoder that might look like belongs, doesn't look like a cup holder till you need it and then WaLa. Well this is what I found I think it might fit the bill, it is lightly held on w/velcro for the pics.
Let me know what you think.

Ya, I know, 6 is dirty.:icon_frown:

Found it either on E bay or Amazon or both. Made by a company in Germany for Porsche's and such. $25.00 Company I bought it from is called "Scottland Yard Spares".

Test the location for wind and vibration, hate to have coffee or a slurpee all over that side of the bike. :yikes:

Maybe I'm missing something here but wouldn't it be better to mount a holder like this on the left side, especially considering you probably want to grab the cup with your left hand .

I'm going to try the one I ordered using the 3m industrial type of Velcro. Sorry I don't know the name of it, will find out. It will hold anything and can be temporary or permanent.

Keith, I think you're talking about 3M Dual Lock. I use it all the time and it's great stuff. It has unbelievable holding power. In fact, I sometimes use a screwdriver to get those mating surfaces separated. I guess you could think about this as being hook & hook rather than hook & loop. Both sides have plastic hooks so when you join them, they actually snap together. Like you said, it's "industrial" velcro. Really good stuff

I purchased on Amazon.com. Typical price for a 10' mated length (1" X 10') is around $37. In the package, you find 2-10' rolls so that results in the 10' mated length.

I was thinking of doing something similiar so I sat on the seat to see how it would work. In theory, it was a good idea till I notice there isn't much room between my legs and that area.
