Took a vacation last week to western NC {Bakersville/Buladean} with our F6B's. Had a little Valkyrie gathering in the area to give us some riding partners.
Our cabin.

Had to tow up as the wife cannot ride in what she calls "heat". :icon_rolleyes:

Rode to Mt. Mitchell in not so great weather conditions! Foggy & COLD! Had to wait out a rain storm while eating lunch then battled very foggy weather on the ride back home.

Had a fish fry at the cabin on Tuesday with our Valkyrie friends.

Did "the Snake" then rode to Blowing Rock, NC.

Had a great time & of course the "B's" performed flawlessly. It was both the wife & my first riding experience in the mountains. We will be back!:icon_cool:

 Nice looking pair of bikes! I haven't seen any other Bs on the road yet. Was in the Ozzarks last week, and saw lots of Wings and trikes, but no Bs. So, who is the better rider? You don't have to answer, to be able to handle the B in the mountains, means your both talented! :icon_biggrin: Hows that trailer handle the weight of 2 Bs?

Wife rode very well with a bit of coaching. She had a tendency to brake in the middle of a corner instead of before the corner. She adapted very well, very proud of her!

The trailer has a 3500 LB torsion bar axle so the weight is not an issue. The trailer is supposed to hold two "full dress Harleys" easily but it is a bit tight with two real "full size bikes" aboard.
It weighs 650 lbs empty so about 2500 lbs with the bikes on board.

My F150 has the 4.6L and was OK hauling the load until we hit the mountains. I guess it did alright but it isn't the powerhouse my old '95 F250 PowerStroke diesel was! :icon_redface:

Not looking good for the F6B rally. Got tickets to the Seminoles games that month & worst of all it looks like I will be going under the knife this summer for my right knee. :icon_frown: I can ride as of now but not sure how long the surgery will sideline my riding.
Definitely looking forward to meeting our F6B brothers. If you guys turn out to be as good as our Valkyrie club people it will be another great blessing for us!
So far I know of four F6B riders in the Ocala/Silver Springs area including wife & I, all of us ex-Valk riders. :icon_cool:
valkmc & Bert from the VRCC Florida board are in our hood. I guess if we get a few more aboard we can have our own Marion Co. Florida F6B chapter.

Great pics, great rides. We're here in Hiawassee Ga. with the Christian Motorcyclist EAstern Rally! Have had some outstanding rides. Ran into the fog issue last year. It was really bad!!!. Road from Mt Mitchell to Little Switzerland at 20 mph, following the yellow line, rain &!fog combined. Thank God, got back safe. This year perfect weather. just really hot. enjoy, ride safe! Watch out for "tar strips". They get very slippery in the heat. we were sliding 6" at a time.
