How many miles can I expect to get on the original equipment Bridgestone Exedra G709 tires. I hope to get 10,000 miles, tell me I am not dreaming!:icon_rolleyes:

I changed my rear last fall......got 12,000+ out of it and just changed my front.....at 13,869......I've consistently ran 41 PSI front and rear.......I could have gotten another 1,000 out of the front, but I'm leaving on a 4000+ mile trip and I didn't want to have tire issues. Others have gotten less and others have gotten more!

Hope that helps

Got my Red(fastest color) April 2014, presently at 13844 could easy go another 2 or 3k. Piece of cake 10k miles! Keep 41 psi in it!

I appreciate your advice! I am heading out on a 7,500 mile trip through 16 states and wanted to make the trip without changing tires.

Nice! I swapped mine at 18k but probably could have went 20k. Are we getting special tires in AZ? Whatever it is I like it.

What are ya'll doing to get 20k miles? You must have figured a way to rotate them :icon_wink: Is there a consensus on what the MacDaddy replacement is?

I can't say I'm doing anything special. I check air pressure about once a week and ride.

I got 18k on the original Stones and I'm on pace to get at least 18k on the E-3's.

Re: 20,768...
I keep my pressures at 38-40 psi front and rear.
And I try to keep my acceleration and braking within reasonably accepted norms (but I don't baby her, either).

Bobby, because the originals lasted so long, I did specify the AZ formulation from Wing Stuff when I ordered my replacements. :icon_wink:

Only got 8k on the back. Could have gotten more but I neglected the tire pressure. Probably too low cause my tread cupped and was hummin real bad when in a twisty. Changed the front at 9k cause it was at the wear bars. I ride 2up a lot but wife only weighs 115lbs. I have to admit though I am pretty heavy on the throttle. Out of 1rst gear by 3k. 4k and up the whole way to 5th.

Well Tire wear is the only negative I've found on the flat 6 bagger. Since changing from Harley dresser I've had no regrets and have big smiles . On the Harley I would go through 2 rear tires to one front.Usually 15000 to each rear The F6B wears about the same front and rear getting far less mileage than the Ultra Classic did. In defense of the F6B I have a tendency to ride it much more aggressively than I did the Harley due to the greater available power.(also because of my Harley riding buddies desire to stop eating Honda fumes)
Over all I love the bike but can't say I'm happy with tire wear.

After 11,200 miles on the original 'stones' my tires have half the tread of new ones! I covered the western 15 states and stayed off the interstate roads. Since I got the F6B for my
65th birthday I really enjoyed the many National Parks. They are free for us older riders! Badlands, Mt. Evans and Echo Lake, Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Monument Valley, Hoover Dam, Mohave Desert, Nixon and Reagan museums, Hiway one, Golden Gate bridge, Avenue of the Giants, Crater Lake, Columbia River Road, water falls, Yellowstone, Big Horns.
Never got rained on! Amazing. Friendly folks in all states! Col 3:17:icon_lol:

If you are into the "wear bars" or have excessive cupping its time for new skins!

19911 This is my rear tire with 7274 miles on it which is just about to the wear bars on the tire. I think it really depends on how frisky your right wrist is as my rear tire probably would have made 7500 at best but I change it out cause it was flat in the center of the tread and I didn't like the look. Running 40 in the front and 41 in the rear.

I got 13,500 out of my stock tires. I was very happy with them. I replaced them in kind.

My 2 cents,

I just took my Harley in for new tires. The originals were Dunlop Elite 3 Radial tires with 24,000 original miles. When my F6B needs new tires, my choice will be the Elite 3 radial tires. The rear tire is shown in the photo below.

11.5k on the stocks, then went with the Mettzlers 888. Have @ 12k on them now. Looks like another couple of thousand left on front, more left on rear. No singing yet and leaning towards sticking with them for the next set. 40 front, 41.5 rear

You guys might want to check out the new dunlop elite 4. They are supposed to be high mileage. In this report it is stated the rider went coast to coast six times on the same set of tire, albeit it was done by Dunlop. Hell I would be happy to get 20k. I am down right now with a shoulder surgery so I can't give any updates but I will

Thread Follow up - Getting ready to change back tire again, may go CT "darth/vader2' current milage is ~28k that means both set of stones on the rear lasted 14k.

You make me feel good! My General G-Max delivered 30K miles! I'm currently on my second one and hope to get another 30K miles wear:icon_wink:

7500 on the rear. My front has another 2-3000. I ride mostly twisties, and not slow. Just went darkside on the rear. Keeping the front for a few more miles then putting on a metzler 888

I got 17,500 miles out of the stock stones. Always check you tire pressure to get the life out of your tires. 40 front 42 rear works for me. I installed the Dunlap elite 4. Really like them so fare.

Did you really get 20,768 miles on your rear tire?

I am at just over 20,000 miles and I only got 9500 miles on my first 2 back tires. I got 19,000 on my front.
I don't know what I am doing wrong I have the FOBO TPMS and keep the rear at 42psi and the front at 40psi.
Both rear tires were showing through to the belts at 9500 miles.

Maybe riding so fast is the problem / I average 75mph - 90mph on the highway and run fairly hard in the twisties.

7200 miles my rear OEM Bridgestone was finished right to the wear bars. So it really depends on how you ride your bike as to how long the rear tire lasts. Now the front one I did get 12700 miles out of so the rear one was somehow related to a right wrist problem I seem to have.

How do you guys get so many miles. I keep the tire pressure at 40 front / 42 rear. I have the FOBO TPMS and I get warnings when the tires are low.
Maybe I ride to hard??? I have a lot of highway miles because I ride 50 miles each way to work almost every day year round.

I got 9500 miles on the first tire / 9300 miles on the 2nd rear tire / I am at 270000 miles and I will need a new tire soon.
